Thanks to the primary effort of the Webmaster here on MorphZone, we will be getting a sister site set up at www.PPCZone.org as soon as possible to support the steadily growing Pegasos Linux Community. PLC will be integrated into PPCZone.org.

We have discovered that these development community websites generally improve not only the general environment surrounding a supported OS, in this case Linux on the Pegasos, but MorphOS as well, which is a welcomed side effect. For example, Ali Akcaagac (also known as Galaxy) came to MorphOS after years of work in the Linux Community. Ali spent five years on the GNOME Desktop and is a GNOME Foundation Lifetime Member (eighth from the top). Ali has become a prolific contributor to MorphOS. A quick look at Ali's Desktop will give you a clue where his heart is now...;-)

To really make the new site work we need the International House of Chatter up and chatting away on PPCZone! :-) Not everyone speaks English and those of you that are talented enough to speak English and your native language well, plus understand Linux and MorphOS please come help us out. :-D There are Pegasos machines in over 40 countries now and while that number may not grow as fast as it has, the penetration in these countries certainly will. We need your help!

So, wenn Sie Linux sprechen, s'il vous plait, ayúdenos! APPROVAZIONE? :-P

Please contact davecrawford@genesi-usa.com, aka, Targhan or User #1 around here, and let him know if you can be of assistance.

    Dank u and Hälsningar !

    Raquel and Bill :-)

Morph is more than an OS - it's a CONCEPT! :-D

I am not very talented on Linux, but I am starting to learn from now.

Please count on me for Spanish house of chatter of PPCZone, not as a moderator but as a regular user.

    Hi

Well, I would like to contribute. However we also have www.pegasos.org and we are trying and continuing to build that site up further as a support site and portal for the Pegasos, which include PPC + Pegasos + Linux + MorphOS and all other operatingsystems or effort that have connections with the Pegasos and with PPC.

    Dank u and Hälsningar ! :-)

    Gunne, you are right.

The rising tide should lift all boats!

Targhan, we should link the Swedish Forum from here to Pegasos.org. This way if they know about this site first they will still find their way to pegasos.org the home of the Powerful PUGS! :-) The same should apply to MorphZone.

    Good thinking Gunne! :-)

Yes, all boats have their own 'envinronment and differences' (couldn't find a better way to express myself right now), as to say. And all efforts is good in the living community, and all the creative people behind everything that is made. And connections between the different websites is also good to have.

We are still only in the beginning :-)

Well I'll register on the site. I only know english, but I do want to
have a working full linux install on my Pegasos. Something I have
failed to get done every time I try since my knowledge of linux is
lacking. Maybe I can get some help on that site at
last from a few linux gurus!

I can manage an italian version if needed on your site BBRV.
I'm a daily PLC user and a pure Sven hammerer.
(I'm lucky that Sven is a nice and quiet guy :-D)
I also wrote a little guide on how and configure a Debian distro on Peg2 (in italiano!):

    PS
Anyway I prefer to be a user: Miky060 is a far quiet guy to be a moderator! :-D

    Buongiorno Paochi! :-)

Sven is a great guy and for all your combativeness you are too...;-) The guide looks great (but only Raquel can read it!) We appreciate your support and effort. Grazie mille!

    Ciao!

    R&B :-)

P.S. Actually, we are thinking of naming the next Pegasos Linux distribution as... Svenux! :-P
