A newspaper article reminded me that Friday is 11/11/11. Considering its past numerological association with the number, and the fact that the chance won't present itself again for an hundred years, I wonder if there was anything planned?

Additional hardware support? Special pricing? A "butterfly bag?" Or ... new version?

I vote for the butterfly bag! I wanna one.

P.S. 11 converted from binary to decimal is 3 or am I wrong?

> Special pricing?

You mean even more special than the current special price of 111.11 EUR?

I think Kiero mentioned somewhere (probably IRC) that new version won't happen that date.

Anyway it's an independent day in Poland so it's kind of special ;)

Nooo!

I'm busy with "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" at that date!!!

well I guess they could do something very special for the 12/12/12

Well... The real thing is that 11 11 11 at 11:11 is my 60th birthday. Really!

11/11/11 at 11:11:11 is six times 11.
11*6=66. let's put it all together, we obtain: 666...
Hell and fire were born to be released.

why do first notes in iron maiden's number of the beast sound as "when the saints go marching in"?...

111 eu / $150 was the best money I spent this year.

When is 3.0 coming out, 'after November but this year' wasn't it?

I vote for 12/12/12 @ 12 midnight release of MorphOS3.3 with support for G5 PowerMac and some kind of dual CPU support, running specific tasks on the second G5 CPU, without breaking all backward compatibility.

That would be a lot to ask for, as the Dev. Team claims that they have not even started working on G5, or multiple CPU support yet, other than the proof of concept demonstrations of MorphOS booting on the dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac and 2.1GHz G5 iMac.

We can dream can't we?

Or rather: "MorphOs 3.0 will likely released this year" but "There won´t be any MorphOS update before december!". So no fixed date AFAIK, but it should be quite close anyway.

Looking forward to this! I think it will be one of the biggest improvements in a new release this far (a few things has already been hinted), hence the version bump to 3.0!

I hope the release of MorphOS3.0 will be this year, but I also hope that if the release date slips into the first quarter of 2012 that there will not be too much moaning or complaining from everyone here.

It is a major step forward and a lot of work is involved, so unforeseen problems in any of the areas that are being upgraded, or in the drivers for any of the PowerBook components could delay the release. I have not heard anything that would indicate to me that they are not on schedule for a December release of 3.0, but know that there is still work being done to finish it and bring it up to the high release standards that the MorphOS Dev. Team has shown us in the past.

I can't wait for it to be done and released as my G4 PowerBook is what I use 95% of the time right now (given my back condition). I want to run MorphOS3.0 instead of MacOSX10.5.8.

So, where is the new MorphOS ;)

There isn't . All I can say it's: happy birthday DoctorMorbius_FP!

Miky060 beat me to it.

Happy Birthday, DoctorMorbius_FP

Happy Birthday DoctorMorbius_FP!

Please tell me that you will be doing/did something special at 11:11...

(maybe 11 pushups, start to drink 11 pints, blow out candles, etc)

Miky60, it's still 11/11/11 here.

Dr. Morbius, I wish you happy birthday as well, that's a big one. You may want to convert Debaser's pints suggestion to binary though. ;)

Happy Birthday DoctorMorbius!

Italian Version: Sinceri Auguri di Buon Compleanno!

Seems this date has not even seen MorphOS 3.2 (and neither has today) ;-) But apparently, 2013 will see both MorphOS 3.2 *and* 3.3 :-)

"2013 is the year of Rockford! [...] The small game window of the original game, or should I say the stamp size icon looked nice, but was simply to small to be played with on a FullHD screen. In 2013, this will change! [...] BoulderDäsh Resurrection will be released exclusively for MorphOS V3.3 or higher."
