    Hello all.

yesterday, I received my first Pegasos II + G4 system. I install it in a MicroATX tower, install a standar seagate hard drive, standar "Infenion" DDR400 CL3 256mb DIMM, an old Voodoo3 3000 AGP, a standar LG combo-unit (DVD+CDRW) a USB keyboard with a standar PS2/USB optical mouse.
I switch ON and all starts......
I make the partitions, (very easy)
I format, install MOS 1.4 and all works perfectly.

The first impressive impresion was the "4 seconds" in boot-up the MorphOS from HD. Really superb!

Well, before of do all that I start to install programs for test, I install my old Image FX 4.1, perfect. My old DOPUS 4.12, perfect. My old Snoopdos, TVPaint, CygnusED and all necesary for start to work.

All runs like a hell ! I´ve tested a lot of OS´s and I can confirm that really is the most FAST operating system that I´ve seen in all my life!
And runs very very very very fast ! really.
The compatibility from old Amiga utils is enough for everyone, all last amiga programs runs without problems.

Well, now.. its time for check some native MOS stuff....

I installed Quake, DOOM, StonX, uae, xsnes, ScummVM, DukeNukem, some demos that Hooligan sent me time ago, all runs perfect and very smooth (50 fps in 1024x768)
I installed MPlayer and check some Divx, mpeg and quicktime movies.. all perfect too.
I installed MAME with that weird magilla front-ed , also perfect, I play with Metal Slug 1, 2, X, 3 without breaks !
I also test Kaya and AmigaAmp. all right!

I´m very very very very very happy with Pegasos and MorphOS. Really I´ve back to my old and good Amiga days but with 1ghz of power and with a funny and new community for talk and check new stuffs!

Thanks to Genesi for give me again that good feeling that I felt when Amiga had his glory-days!

You aint alone =) the Peg + MOS is a GREAT upgrade from an old miggy! a shame not everyone agrees however im confident if you locked alle of them alone one by one in a room with a Peg for 24 hours 90% of them would think twice ;).

Que the choir! Grab the pom-poms! Rah! Rah!

Sorry, I couldn't resist ;-) Seriously, I'm happy you're so satisfied with the Peg/MOS. I bet the core and mos teams feel a bit of pride everytime a comment like yours is posted. Those guys have really worked hard, day and night, to make the Pegasos and MorphOS the best it can be.

Anyway, I appreciate the positive posts in our age of conspirasies, counter-conspirasies, finger-pointing, flames, and other such negative things. Thanks! :-)

Don't know, but there's MorphOS port of snes9x, which works very nicely. Search morphzone with "snes9x" should find the thread, where the link was mentioned.

    Hey Estrayk,

    cool, another Futurama fan! ;-)

I have the first 3 seasons on DVD (which is all that is out in the UK atm) and I think they are just great. Especially kiff and Branagan. What a team! :)

Sounds like your doing good with the PegII/G4. I'm personally waiting until I'm back from my trip in New Zealand (1 more month :/ ) and can assess my finances!

Oh, and if someone on the team would give the pegasos UK website team a kick up the backside so that they update their website.......cause I have no idea if they are still operational and have any Peg IIs (or will have). Plus Id like that new G4 version thats just come out.

    But I think I'll need a job first b4 I worry about upgrades....heheeh :)

    TTFN!
