Has anyone successfully tried to burn a CD using an external burner? If so, what software was used and what was the Trident prefs?

I haven't tried it, but I think that USB 1.1 is too slow for CD-Burning.

My PC is only USB 1.1, and it'll burn CD's. ;-)

Theroretically the usb 1.1 fast tranfer should enable writing with 10 x speed (1.5 MB/s).

I guess a CDR would be recognized as msd, which i guess isn´t helpful to burn cds (since it´s not a trivial doscopy), but I might be wrong.

I think usb-cdrws are a own class - and an appropiate one is not listed at Poseidon´s HP (www.platon42.de/poseidon.html) but i do not know which one is the fitting class...

Sugestion: Contact Chris Hodges at the yahoo Poseidon ml for details.
