    It is not. And I hope it will stay this way, because it allows to see the programmers of AmIRC who uses a demo, a cracked or a properly registered AmIRC version. I also like the random texts. :-)

    Anyway.. the versions reply is not for adding personal information. it's for client information. E.g. it allows irc networks to informa users of certain clients about security problems etc. (see last 'hole' in mirc/win32).

    regards,

    Hmm I have seen people that have some of it edited with things like the computer they use ect. Are you sure it can be done?

    only when these ppl are using a illegal cracked/hacked (or whatever) warez version. If it's true.. then this makes me sick. Why ppl still don't get it that warez are making this market more dead than he is already. :-(

    My copy shows:

    VERSION AmIRC/Amiga 3.5.25 ©1995-2002 VaporWare : http://www.vapor.com/ : [#00000000] : <random quote>

    (it indeed shows my serial number instead of only zeros, also random quote is filled with some random quote actually).

    Can it be that you mix it with the user information field?

    you can ADD (not replace) additional reply string to amirc's one by using some arexx scripts, for example kuangeleven.

    @Aciil:

    Although I haven't tried it, but you can try using CTCPzap (Readme).
    Readme mentions CTCPman as similar program/script. Happy personalizing 8-)

    Yea thats what I meant, you can add to it and not replace it. Thats what I've seen. Mine shows my serial and the random quote like yours.
