At ann.lu Bill Panagouleas is wondering nobody has asked him about the offer to provide a free (incl. shipping) Amiga Video Toaster 4000.

It´s all to find at www.openvideotoaster.org

I know working on the video toaster flyer software will be a very big project, but perhaps there are skilled people who would take the ball and start the game.

I would love to do so, but I guess I can´t contribute anything productive to that efford since my programming skills are *very* poor.

I just saw that this topic is covered already. Next time I will have a better look before posting...

Anyway, would be cool if someone jumps on that train...

I would like to see the Amiga Video Toaster source code modified so it will run with the PCI PC Video Toaster (since it will fit into a Pegasos) instead of the Amiga Toaster that’s video slot based. Dependences would have to be removed from the source code of course, hard but not impossible! Then MorphOS would have a video editing solution. I don't mind paying the programmer that is able to do this!

68k asm will take loooong time to port
at end you will have a software designed for 64colors max
that was for the user-interface part.

pci toaster dont differ heavily ? i fear they have little in common
    with amiga toasters :(

perhaps it would be easier to directly get the tech doc/specs of
    mordern toasters ...

Which offcourse leaves a few questions open :

Is the PCI-Toaster fully documented, or would one need to do
    lot's of reverse-engeneering ?
Does the PCI-Toaster actually work in every PCI-slot, or doe it have special
    requirements ?
In what shape are the sources ?
Does the PCI-Toaster atleast work in a somewhat similar way than the old one ?
