    Hi all,

since we have today Developers Feedback Day I also want to thank a few developers, but since i'm a lazy and timeless person (and sometimes don't have the eMail address of the developer) I say thanks here in a (big) single post. Else I had to write too many emails. I'm sorry.

So here is a list of ppl to which I want to say thank you!. It's for sure not complete. So sorry, if i forgot someone.

You also can take this list as reference for good programs (if you don't have them already), because they are my favourite tools.

    (it's in random order)

    Fab - MAME, SNES9x
Great ports! They let me not miss that much the old Amiga games which don't run anymore on the new hardware. I still hope we'll see someday a good UAE port which is also so highly useable like your MAME or SNES9x ports.

Oliver Wagner and others - AmIRC
It's the first program I start after (re)boot. Hope we'll can use the MorphOS native version soon.

UltraGelb - AmiNetRadio, AmiTradeCenter (ATC), dynAMIte, amifish
New version of ANR will kick ass for sure! :-) Hope you still find some time to remove that nasty bug from current ATC release.

    Michal Rybinski - Zoom
I use that tool almost every day. It's more useful than expected. Hope you'll add the "locked" feature I requested some time ago on beta2 into next release.

Eddy Carroll and others - SnoopDOS
Is one of the most important and helpful tools we have on Amiga/ MorphOS.

Marcel Beck and others - YAM
my favourite mailer, even if it has some problems. I hope they will be fixed with one of the next major releases.

Eric W. Schwartz - Sabrina Online, famous "Amiga Survivor" pic, etc.
Not really programs, but I like these comic strips and pictures. When I'm tired from all the bad mood on some forums I often click to Sabrina Online and read a few comics... they make me smile.

Stefan Burstroem and others - IBrowse
The best browser we have atm. I never found a browser on any system which has better usability. Indeed it misses a few standards, but I think it will improve with next major release somehow. I also still hope we'll see a MOS release someday.

Luca 'toffi' Carminati - TotalCalc 1.21
A great little tool. Sadly the new release with Commodities interface is somehow broken, hope it will be fixed someday.

Nico and others - MorphOS MPlayer port
Great work. Hope we'll see a new release very soon.

    oppr... err... bifat - MysticView
atm. my favourite picture viewer. It has style. I hope you can still add that feature I requested (even if you say all the time that the development is freezed :-P ) or else some other viewer like MSP (stefkos) or ShowGirls (kiero) will catch up! :-)

    Stefan Becker - Toolmanager 3.1
still the best program start panel (and AFAIK it was also the first one on Amiga... it's now already 14 years since the first release).

itix - MOS Frodo port, CD Player, MOS FreeCiv port, ANR AHX player
Great stuff. I hope you'll find some time to add/finish freecddb support for the CD Ripper. Please! :-)

    Dietmar Eilert - MorphED
Hope the few simple refresh flaws will be removed someday, else it's a great editor. I use it daily for programming work and atm. I'm using it to write this very text (will copy'n'paste it when it's done to the morphzone form).

    Cloanto - PPaint
the best pixel program fow lowbit graphics - and i'm desperatly wait for the version wich fixes the problems which are left in combination with the new hardware. I really hope the port will become reality.

    elf - Frogger
great movie player. And a real amiga product. (btw, i'm still working on that skin... I needed some time to figure out how it does work exactly. But now I think I know how it works and will finish it as soon as possible :-) )

    stefkos and others - KRAY
a cool toy. and the morphos version now also has a preview window. Still didn't had time to try out the new version yet. :-\

    Elena - ZoneExplorer
wow, it creates the best fractal pictures I ever seen. I also made a calendar with some of them, was a nice present for someone. The calendar is also downloadable on my homepage (see link in signature -> releases -> misc). BUT the GUI is still ugly! :-) Go for MUI, Elena.. Go! Go! :)

    Per Johanson - ProPlayer
Cool player. I hope you can fix the things I wrote you a few months ago via eMail - didn't got a reply. It's a cool program... make it better, else we'll have to use the upcoming ANR exclusive for playing Protracker modules! :-P

Angela Schmidt, Patrick Ohly, Heinz Wröbel - MakeCD
Great tool (has outdated gui, but still very useable) and I also like that it is still supported. I'm curious how the upcoming BurnIT performs... we'll see.

    Erik Johannessen - ESnake
it's always the first thing I install on a new computer. Best snake game ever. Even Develins snakee which is also extended and integrated into Euph0ria can't beat it yet. :-)

(btw: press ENTER to start the game, use CRSR to play it, SPACE to pause it and press '8' to show the HighScore... yeah it was an Euph0ria easteregg! New version of Euph0ria will have another easteregg! But this time it will be not findable that easy! :-) )

Paul Burkey, Jobbo, epic - BirdieShot
Peng, Boom, Ahhhhhh! New HighScore! :-D :-D :-D

Dirk Stoeker, Andrew Bell and others - XAD, Voodoo-X
I discovered this great library system first this year. Such great thing and I used Amigas for years and didn't knew them. I blame myself for that!

    Georg Hörmann - VirusZ
It was the first anti virus program which I used back then in AOS2.x days. And it's still a great tool... even if it's maybe completly useless, because I didn't saw/had an Amiga virus since years. But very usefull to detect if some program uses Setpatch().

Deniil and OnyxSoft - MultiRen, and others
Very useful, used it latly for quickly renaming a few thousand <icon>.png files to <icon>.info. Also the other OnyxStuff is very interesting... keep up the good work!

    ...

oh.. yeah.. i better stop here.. else I can't finish this text today and tomorrow it's to late for the Developers Feedback Day. I'm sure i forgot 95% of the people... so here for all i forgot: Thanks. (there a simple too much cool programs out here.. still have more than 300 MB unsorted in my download directory... yep, i need more time).

It's nice to be part of the MorphUnity and to meet ya all - keep the spirit!

But last but not least I want to say thanks to the whole MorphOS team. It's probably not an optimal situation for you all atm. but you're (hopefully) still trying to do your best. The whole project is a great effort and I really hope it will continue to be a great effort.

Don't hide such small (and often important) fixes like the new commodities.library, parallel.device or iffparse.library that long. By release them a bit more quickly you make the users happier and save you a few work and stress because of you don't have to handle whining users and useless bugreports, okay? :-)

    regards,
    tokai

I'd also like to thank the makers of Lagavulin

And a certain tokai who makes all sorts of cool things. not the least is that FAB Euph0ria.

And I absolutely love Dopus Magellan which I have used on my real Amigas, my WinUAE emulation and my Peg. It has been one of the most useful - can't do without - programs i've ever used.

Let's not forget Kermit and everyone who has helped at NovaDesign to keep hanging in there all these years!

Elena's ZoneXplorer is my favorite new program. I am absolutely blown away by the quality of the images. At the moment it doesn't bother me too much about the GUI. it works for now.

and Michal Rybinski's Zoom: I do like it, even if I don't use it all the time. When I show others my Peg, it is one of the things I sometimes use to surprise them!

I've been using TranspoClock - Jacek Piszczek - and updating all along and it does look quite loverly indeed!

MiniShowPicture - 'Stefkos' Stefanski - is another program I keep looking at and it just gets better every time there's a new update.

a glass of Lagavulin to the lot of you!

    Yeah, I know I'm a day later but I'm not always on-line, sorry :-).
First of all, my thanks go to Jay Miner and the original Amiga team (hehe look at my avatar:-)), for creating this wonderful combination of hw & sw named AMIGA! Then, thanks to MOS team for providing this beautiful OS that keeps the Amiga spirit alive! I'm using PEG+MOS only from a month but I'm having lot of fun with it, like old good A500 days. MOS rulez!!!!!!
And of course, many thanks to ALL the developers that, despite the small user base, continue to work hard on some fantastic pieces of software (Mame, Lame, Bochs, Mplayer, Zone Xplorer, Scumm, and many many others) mostly for passion, surely not only for money!
So again, thanx, thanx, thanx... ad infinitum.

<off-topic> Morphed and GoldED6 do not support SIMPLEREFRESH under cgx, please do not enable the option "reduced memory consumption" in the main setup dialog. That option needs AmigaOS or P96, with Cybergraphx you get refresh problems due to a tiny difference in the layers library. GoldED AIX support SIMPLEREFRESH under cgx, starting with SP12+ (I believe).

I just want to say thankyou to everyone mentioned as well as all those we may have missed! The Pegasos is the "Amiga" I have allways wanted and more! I hope to see it transform into something great! I would love to see it outsell the AmigaOne system. AFAIK it has so far. When OS4 comes out, I hope the developers of that system make apps for us as well! Great work again everyone and keep it up!

Since I was away yesterday for most part of the day, here's my feedback for the developers (ehh, I used tokai's list, because I never wuld have come up with all the names myself ;-) )

    Fab - MAME, SNES9x

Instantly filled the gaming gap that exists on MOS :-) Great stuff, and if we'll ever see an UAE port like Tokai hoped, than I will probably live the rest of my live in seclusion :-)

    Amigazeux - AmiNetRadio
ANR is great, and I can't wait for the new version (any chance of re-including UADE now the new version is out?).

Eddy Carroll and others - SnoopDOS
Used it on my A500, CDTV, A1200, A4000 and now on my Pegasos. Essential stuff.

Eric W. Schwartz - Sabrina Online
For me at times the only reason to buy a new Amiga Format, at present a reason to connect to the internet :-)

Nico and others - MorphOS MPlayer port
The player that makes my friends jealous. Eagerly awaiting a new version, maybe with a similar Vplayerplanar output option like in Frogger?

itix - MOS Frodo port, CD Player, MOS FreeCiv port.
The cdplayer is essential, the frodo port great and the freeciv port incredibly good fun; thanx!

    Dietmar Eilert - MorphED
The first editor that stopped me from using qeditor.

    elf - Frogger
I like it; allows me to play some movies that won't work with mplayer....and I like that vlayerplanar option! Would be even more great if it would allow to skip through a movie like mplayer (10 secs. at a time).

Angela Schmidt, Patrick Ohly, Heinz Wröbel - MakeCD
On of the best investments I made for my amiga, still one of the best investments for my pegasos :-). If there was to be a mos-native update, i would invest again.

Dirk Stoeker, Andrew Bell and others - XAD, Voodoo-X
Like tokai said, I wish I heard about it earlier ;-)

    K-P Koljonen - Hippoplayer
Though no longer in development and unsupported in MOS, still the player and program i have used most in the past 10 years....i'm getting emotional now ;-)

    Tokai - Lame, Euph0ria, snes9xstarter etc.
I use lame everyday, I use euph0ria everyday, I use snes9xstarter everyday, and I used his post in this thread :-P Thanx!

    MOS development team - Morphos
Never thought it would be possible, but my amiga is getting covered with dust, while I spend most of my time with my new "girlfriend". old love never dies....but when you meet her younger sister who has everything you always wnated, you'd be suprised :-D

These are just a few of the great people that really deserve a lot of respect and praise; for a complete list I would need a day....or 10 :-)

Thanx to you all; we salute you!

Thanks to the IBrowse team as well:
Stefan Burstroem, Rüdiger Sopp, Jason Gouger, Mike Meyer, Oliver Roberts, Michael Fisher,
Stefan Zivkovic, Michael Witbrock, Petter Nilsen David Burstroem.

Also the one man AWeb team, bigfoot! (of coarse, we also appreciate the effort by the AWeb APL team at sunsite.dk, who are putting in a great effort.)

I can't speak for all, but I'm glad to have Voyager, AWeb, and IBrowse!
