I thought the latest release of the RC5-client for MOS had altivec-support.. Hasn't it?

Hm, I may be wrong, but in my understanding if you use linuxppc on the Pegasos you would not contribute your keys to PowerPC/MorphOS anymore but to PowerPC/Linux.

    This is indeed the case.

    @Felix

And i asked it because MOS RC5 doesn't support altivec yet

    It does.

    You're right, it has.

If you read the README file it tells you the altivec cores will be enabled with MorphOS 1.5.

OK. So if I understand right the client HAS altivec-support, but it is of no practical use (eg. altivec can't be utilized) before running under MOS1.5?

Yes muckboy, you got it right.

Well that´s the point why we are crunching like hell : to get MOS 1.5 ASAP to get all these features like Altivec support, network, the whole bunch of "yeah known problem, it´s fixed within the next release" stuff, get elvis back and have peace on earth etc. pp.

What about a little compation, who crunches the most Blocks each day? With a top 20. Maybe we could get more Blocks crunched each day

ThePlayer: it seems as though we do the same amount of keys a day, unless I'm reading it wrong? we are all at 336... dunno.. but my overclocked Peg 1 should be crunchin' quite a bit of keys.

    Hi all!

How to download more, than 24 packets? When I leave to work, I get back usualy later, than 12 after that and all the 24 packets are finished in about 7 hours. I know that then there are random packets computed, but is it possible to download more? And I haven't static internet connection at home.

    Thanks and bye, MarK.

select Client -> Configure to reach the config :)
select 2 - [Buffer and Buffer Update Options]
select 12 - [Fetch work threshold]

    default settings are OGR=0,RC5-72=0
    so you fetch 12 Packets

set the RC5-72 to the number of Packets you want
    to fetch.

go back to the main config and save

if you look now in you dnetc.ini you can find the
    following addition

    [rc5-72]
    fetch-workunit-threshold=xx
