    What about paragraph 7? Timerhack is an OS4 executable as far as I can see. Is it (or something else with the same functionality) not needed on MorphOS?

    I followed the steps (except #7) and DeliTracker works fine now on MorphOS 3.1 on my Mac mini G4. Thanks :-) I remember that I had read fingus' instructions back then when he posted them to amigaworld.net but silly me didn't even think to attempt to follow them due to mention of step #7.
    As I see there has already been a discussion on the timing issue (that is not there under MorphOS):

    https://morph.zone/modules/newbb_plus/viewtopic.php?topic_id=2094&forum=9&start=12

    And there's an ARexx script that's supposed to help with running on MorphOS:

    Call me stupid but I cannot for the life of me get Delitracker to play anything. It just flashes the screen titlebar red briefly when I hit play.

    I followed all the instructions in that aw.net thread but can't find where to tell the 14bit noteplayer to use AHI Unit 0.

    I installed the 68k rexxsyslib.library and that AREXX script you linked to, but it still doesn't do anything.

    Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong? I suspect it's the AHI Unit thing but perhaps it's another problem?

    For what it's worth I tried getting it to run again (been years), and after some fiddling (and crashes) it works with the following configuration:

    * Delitracker v2.34
    * 14-bit Noteplayer v4.30

    I deleted all other DeliTracker Genies and disabled Paula-Noteplayer. I configured the 14-bit Noteplayer (open the DeliTracker Genies window, click on the 14-bit Noteplayer, push the "Show" button and when the 14-bit Noteplayer window is open (and active) just press right mouse button to access the settings) to use 16-bit AHI as output (AHI Unit 0 16-bit stereo HiFi++)...and that's it really. You'll need to adjust the Mixing frequency in the 14-bit Noteplayer prefs or it'll sound horrible (and for some reason it wont save the settings) and there are still a lot of replay timing problems, but hey, just like I remembered ;-)

    Really, use UADE; it's way better.

    *edit: just tried out the AHI-Noteplayer (latest from Aminet) and that works as well. Still timing probs, but less so ;)

    Thanks for the tips.

    I swear my brain is turning to mush because I cannot see anything that lets me configure the noteplayer to use AHI Unit 0.

    I know UADE is better (I did the port to Haiku) but I'm just stubborn and want to get Delitracker working for the sake of it tbh. :)

    I'll try the AHI noteplayer from Aminet and see if it works for me.

    ok, that's of no use, but just activate that window and press right mouse button.

    Hello,

    because I had the same problem I patched the version of DeliTracker2 (from dt234.lha) to NOT add the Paula-NotePlayer to the Genies. So DT2 can now be run (after installing the AHI-NotePlayer for sure) to play modules directly without the need to delete the Paula genie first. I hope it will help some DeliTracker enthusiasts :-)

    So, just install DeliTracker with this manual (without step 6+7 now):

    http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=19458&forum=32&start=60&viewmode=flat&order=0#658172

    And the new executable is available here:

    http://www.localmindprovider.com/morphos/dt234-no-paula.lha

    Also, in MorphOS use HiFi 16bit stereo++. I had problems with the other units because they were mono ...

    Enjoy!
