    WTF?

Does anyone have any idea what this is about or if it is actually being actively pursued?

No, but I'd like to, and this looks like it could dovetail with my interest in Minix 3.

    Edit - David Gerber, huh?

Listed on the web site "for Ambient and all related libraries, work on the MorphOS build system and Software Development Kit"

NOT mentioned as a core developer, BUT some really hefty contributions there.

    No,

Search for MorphOS 1.5 and so on. It was drama at its best!

Ah, someone will have to point out the melodramatic parts.

All I've found are some references to the delay in releasing 1.5, Efika and Peg support, and the fact that Gerber was still working on Ambient up to that point.

If there was some falling out, well that isn't unusual, and the package was made open.

I'm not sure I need to focus on the personal issues.

A clear and concise summary of events, thank you Andreas.

So regardless of the statement on the MorphOS website, Gerber WAS a major player.
And payment and IP ownership issues seemed to have been in play.

At least neither Gerber and Stuntz appear to have prolonged contention over these issues.

Too much personal drama here I don't want to try to figure out.

    So, 'OpenMUI', pretty much dead.
And to quote Gerber's quote of Stuntz 'Where's my mountain bike?'.

And the OS continues to be developed, multiple personal dramas or no.

Of course he can, which is why I value his useful information, his confidence, and his friendship.

I've meet three people here that I'm extremely fond of Andreas Wolf, David "AmigaDave" Morris, and Wiktor "Pampers" Glowacki.
