    In the last days of C= they outsourced distribution of the 3.1 upgrade to VillageTronic (Picasso2/4,Ariadne,etc).

    During the ESCOM days "some clueless German Judge" (tm) couldn't find any evidence that 3.1 had been part of the deal transfering C= to ESCOM.

    Or in other word, anybody who claims to know for sure who owns 3.1 is lying.

    I don't think the code is that old, but some of it might have been compiled on Sun development systems.
