MorphZone : : Hurricane Procedures

Hurricane Dennis is about to make landfall, and, due to the Webmaster's geographic location (directly in the path of the hurricane), any site-updates will delayed, bounties will not be updated during this time, and all moderators have been requested to keep a closer eye on things.

Otherwise, there should be no interruptions in service at MorphZone (server is located elsewhere).

Dear Users,

For anyone hitting the "more" button, please wish me (targhan) luck! This hurricane has at times looked to be worse than Ivan from last September, and could very well create week-long power outages again! Curiously, it has also shown signs of weakening. At any rate, I felt that it is in everyone's best intrest to take the most conservative path possible.

If all goes well, this will be a minor inconvenience. Anyway, I hope to see everyone again soon!

    A big THANK YOU to everyone!

    The storm ended up not being anywhere near as bad as expected (here though some on the coast were not as lucky). However, it did manage to kill our power for three days. Other than the food lost due to the power outage, the only damage we suffered was to the big white oak in the front yard.

    Nels-> I hope everything came out well for you guys. That storm really tore through the places it hit before coming up this way.
