Well... Ehm... I have no words to express my feeling...
When I started my run against the time (the review grew explosively outside the limits I forecast, so it seemed to finish never), I was driven mainly by frustration caused by ten years of slow degradation of the Amiga environment (technology, software, and people). But, when I continued the review, I was driven by the enthusiasm and satisfaction that MorphOS/PegasosII were able to give me in the last few months.
Now I'm working on the final revision of the Italian translation of the review. And I have some ideas to improve and expand it (more snapshots, more descriptions of programs and utilities), just to reach a larger target. In fact, now I think that we can advertise the PegasosII among lost Amigans and alien people by means of the review.
I was always almost unable to explain, to curious people, the strange reasons of my very personal choice to use an Amiga in the last ten years, and a Pegasos now. Too many things should be said to create a consistent explanation, so often I renounced and simply said (or let them to think) that "I use this esoteric computer because I'm a bit crazy!". I think that many others in our community had this kind of experience, often or at least sometimes. And now I understand that I can finally explain my point of view by saying briefly: "My reply would be too long and confused, so please read this review and you will find all the answers!"
This idea was expressed first by JKD (Steve) just in this thread. And maybe we could suggest to all the MorphZone people that they can do the same, i.e. actively find as many potentially interested persons as they can, and point them to the review. If, in such a way, my work could attract other people in our community, I would be very happy.
So, what else can I say to Targhan and Mr. Buck? Thank you very much! Of course I accept all your proposals and will do my best! However, please note that I already have my scientific/didactic/administrative work to do at the University, so writing reviews, articles, and meditations on the Pegasos can be only my second, volunteer job. I cannot promise that I will be able to write new things with a constant cadence, but at least I will try.
(I also have some new ideas that will send privately, via e-mail, to Mr. Buck in the next few days.)
