Paris, France -- By Decree of the President of the Republic, 14 May 2004, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Michel Barnier has conferred the Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit) on William H. Buck, Co-General Manager of Genesi.

"For me this recognition is a source of considerable pride," said Buck.

The National Order of Merit rewards meritorious service to society. It is the second-highest civilian award accorded by France. Its insignia is a star with six double branches in blue enamel, surmounted by a crown of crossed oak-leaves. In its center, framed by laurel-leaves, figures an effigy of the Republic with, in exergue, "République Français."
