A nice mention by a respected journalist on a popular American technology show.

Update! The show notes on the TechTV website mentions and links to MorphOS.de! Catch the page HERE.

Can we say, the ice-burg has hit, and the computing industry will slowly emit a grinding sound as our platform rips into the metal hull of the market as it is currently known?

John joined the MorphOS Developer Connection on 30 January 2004 and he has been very impressed by the talented team of developers present. MDC has had a good spirit present since inception and you are all to be commended for it. John's planning an article for an upcoming edition of PC Week so stay tuned!

In the meanwhile, Genesi, the Pegasos and MorphOS was mentioned in another Ziff Davis publication this past week, eWeek. Unfortunately, they referred to MorphOS as a version of Linux, even though on the Motorola site it clear says, "MorphOS is not unix based."

This will be the next challenge. One purely related to marketing. People need to understand that this is all something different and really "A New Computing Platform."

BTW, John wrote this article last month:

IBM's Blue Linux on the Desktop

It was the OSNews coverage here that caught his eye:

Motorola, IBM Endorse Genesi's Open Desktop Workstation

It is time to start taking the message to new people. The next batch of Pegasos II's are "on the fly again" to their new owners and production is scheduled for March and April. We can only hope that this increased level of coverage will drive more sales and boost our production to twice a month.

Congratulations to all MorphOS developers and Pegasos users! And, thanks to Amiga Future and AMIGAplus for thier excellent coverage and support. Let's keep it going. We are starting to pop up on the mass market radar screen and people like what they see. Pegasos Reloaded Indeed!

    R&B :-)

Dvorak is an well known column writer so... it could only help on MorphOS brand recognition! It can only be a good thing!

I have created an mpg of this segment and made it available at http://www.discreetfx.com for download since Friday night. I would have posted here sooner but I have not been able to login to MorphZone.

Hiya DiscreetFX, did you not get my last email? I went in and forced another change in your old account's password and emailed it to you. If you still can't login with that account, let me know--I can change it again (or some other neat tricks!)

Targhan I fiqured out what the problem was! It was the Norton Internet Security software on my PC! It seems to have problems with any Xoops sites. No problem on your end.
