Genesi announced today that the Pegasos II G4 using the recently announced 7447A will be shipping as soon as the CPU is commercially released by Motorola. Until then the 7447 will be shipped with the Pegasos II G4.

Motorola has validated the 7447A as a "Supported Motorola Product" for MorphOS, the Pegasos, and the Open Desktop Workstation.

Both the PegasosPPC and the Open Desktop Workstation have been validated as "Evaluation/Development Boards and Systems" for the 7447 and 7447A G4 CPUs.

Hrm.... G4 upgrade offer... Has a nice sound to it, eh? I'm not saying that something like that will happen, but it sounds reasonable to me...

What do you guys think? Do you think that there would be an intrest in a G3->G4 upgrade, or even a 7447->7447A upgrade? Sounds almost like a poll..... Hrm... Yes... A poll...

I think that's a great idea, I'd definately be interested in
    upgrading to a G4 (7447A) card. :)

    I've order a Peg II G3 because:
    - I don't have enough money for the G4 version
    - G4 version has a fan, so not suitable a a computer :-)

    I would upgrade if:
    - I have enough money which is not very soon :-(
    - The new G4 card has no fan. It should be possible because on the "fact sheet", the MPC7447A "low power" consume 9.3 W at 1.167 Ghz.

By the way, I can't login with AWeb on MorphZone, Tharghan, could you to something about that ?

I would also be interested in an upgrade for the new G4. The 7447A is scheduled to be in production Q2 2004, so it should be avalible soon.
