Events : : Meet MorphOS Team at the Amiga 30 Party in Neuss
Posted By: Tcheko. on 2015/10/9 13:29:07
On Saturday, October 10, 2015, you will have the opportunity to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Amiga and meet some members of the MorphOS Team in Neuss near Düsseldorf.

Up to 500 participants are expected making this event one of the biggest Amiga meetings of the decade.

Other flavours of our favorite computing platform will be present at this event as well: OS4, AROS, Classic and even emulation will be shown providing a unique occasion to see all of them in action at once.

The MorphOS Team will also have a stand where the X5000 and Sam460 will be exhibited running MorphOS among other supported systems, offering a rare opportunity to witness all the latest features of the forthcoming MorphOS 3.10 before its release...

You will find more information about the event here: http://www.amiga30.de

So, who will attend the event? Not that I can make it this time, but I am still curious.

    Kind regards,

Of course it's *mandatory* for every Morph'er attending there, to post online a video of MorphOS 3.10 running on the AmigaOne X5000!

    ;-)
MorphOS is Amiga done right! :-)
MorphOS NG will be AROS done right! :-)

    What will you be "exhibiting"?

Are you going to show your MorphOS computer(s) running some new, never been seen before software for MorphOS?

Sounds like a great event, wish I could attend.

Trevor had suggested that I not buy my X1000 and wait for the X5000, when I told him of my plans to buy it, but I didn't know then that MorphOS would be ported to one of the two systems, and not the other, so I decided not to wait for the X5000 and bought my X1000 against his advice.

I don't regret my purchase decisions, but do have a small regret that I won't be able to dual boot MorphOS and AmigaOS4.x on the same machine. Since I have plenty of other MorphOS capable systems, it really does not matter though, and I believe that my dual 2.7GHz G5 PowerMac will probably run MorphOS just as well, if not better, than the X5000, or if the X5000 does have a performance edge over the 2.7GHz G5, it will not be hugely faster. Being an Amiga collector is a hard addiction to get over and cure yourself from. That is the strongest reason why I feel a desire to own an X5000, but I have been getting much better about NOT buying more Amiga systems and miscellaneous gear that I don't need the past several years, and have even sold half of my collection during that time.

I hope there will be good coverage of this event with videos and audio recordings, plus the usual interviews in some of the Amiga magazines that are still being printed.

    @amigadave

I will bring two MorphOS systems (Mac Mini and Powerbook) but I will exhibite for Swedish User Group of Amiga and mostly show off our magazine Amiga Forum and try to convince more people to make similar magazines in their native language. I have also toyed with the idea of making an MorphOS fanzine, but it never took off :-)

    Wrong! Guess again :)
Work on Tower 57 will start as soon as it is pretty much final, most likely end of the year or so.
    No, it's a different game.

    BoulderDash NG
    ebook reader software "Reader"
    CSV Database application
A complete new and time consuming game, which is already done, but still top secret :D

In addition to that i may demo virtual graphic card support in MorphOS using an ipad as second screen.
