Reviews : : MorphOS covered by Low End Mac

Low End Mac is a well known site among the enthusiasts of older Apple hardware. MorphOS just got a little bit of coverage on the site thanks to Sebastian Patting's article which sheds a little light at the history of MorphOS and explains why it can be of interest to people still using their old PowerPC machines.

Nice article overally. But just to correct some misconceptions presented therein:

"the Amiga platform never migrated to PowerPC"

In the context of MorphOS this is not the entire truth, as for some of the classic Amigas there are the PowerUP boards which happen to make those Amigas run MorphOS up to v1.4.5.

"MorphOS was initially designed to run on Amiga clone hardware"

The first releases ran on original Amigas with PowerUP boards.

"such as the PowerPC G3 and G4-based Pegasos I and II or the Efika."

The Pegasos or the Efika are certainly not Amiga clone hardware.

"the Pegasos II release in late 2006"

The Pegasos II was released 3 years earlier, i.e. late 2003. Late 2006 was when the last batch was sold off by Genesi.

Sent a mail to author for correcting some bits and got a nice reply.

Article has been read 2200 times to the date of Wednesday.

The question is now : does iso download got a pike since this article is online?

Meaby a person in charge of MorphOS Team website can take a look into stats and say us how many downloads were done from refferer lowendmac.com :)

I can't see where the article links directly to the ISO file. What may be possible with some more effort though is to find out how many IPs came to the MorphOS Team website from referrer lowendmac.com and downloaded the ISO file subsequently after a certain amount of clicks within the MorphOS Team website.
