Stefan Kleinheinrich (Kronos) has posted two photos made at the event on late Friday evening. They show an eMac running a development version of MorphOS and a Mac mini that features a subtle, but interesting case modification.

I must admit I've been visiting lowendmac.com frequently since MorphOS 2.4 came out. I've been looking for the other Mac models that might gain support in the future.

Is it safe to assume that that eMac in the picture is the 2004 model with a 32MB Radeon 9200?

Just to share, the first eMac came out in 2002 with a 32MB GeForce2 MX, the 2003 model had a 32MB Radeon 7500 and the 2005 model had a 64MB Radeon 9600.

There is also a 2005 (education) model that has a 32 MiB Radeon 9200.

That's interesting... But I have to admit some guilty and undue optimism - I was hoping there was some level of support for the 9600.

It's too bad the developers can't share their thoughts on such things but surely (more than just ?) a close eye is being kept on http://hdrlab.org.nz/radeonhd-development-log/

I think Radeons 9500 to 9800 have been supported by MorphOS for a while already, probably since MorphOS 2.0. But support for the 3D part of these GPUs is still missing completely.

Geit revealed that it's a 1.25 GHz version, so it has a Radeon 9200 for sure.

Thanks for confirming that and thanks for the info about support for later Radeons. I think I knew that once but I'd completely forgotten.
