Update of the Just-In-Time Compiler for MorphOS 1.4.5

A new version of the Just-In-Time Compiler TRANCE has been released. The changes since the previous release are:

  • Fixed a bug that would make certain IBrowse CPU versions crash (at least IBrowse 2.3 and 2.4)
  • Some SAS/C float/double integer calculation fixes (lsd/asd X flag). For example, the integer version of IBrowse's javascript.library.
  • addx/subx with predecrement was fixed. These instructions are very rare, but could be used for some multiprecision math.
  • Trancestats has been updated to work properly with the latest MUI versions.

The MorphOS Team wishes everyone Happy Holidays and a Great New Year!

How do those registered as MorphOS PowerUp users download this update, or does it not apply to such users?

Where can I download this file?
Doesn't seem to be on the morphos server(http)

I now see the update it is present on the ftp server.
Is the http server not used anymore?
Much less files on there then on ftp.

Does the FTP site use the same user name and password as the http site? I only used the http site. Whats the address of the FTP?

Use your same log in and password. The site is at
    ftp.morphos-team.net

    Good luck.

Note: I had some problem with the installation of IBrowse 2.4 and the MUI files in the 2,4 archive. In the end I had to copy them manually to the correct IBrowse directories?

Now I can use AmiCAD and AmiPCB with Trance emulation turned on. Earlier it caused hang ups. Thanks!

Since WinUAE doesn't emulate any PPC processor or the PowerUp hardware... no I never actually tried it.
