I was just wondering if there is a fan control application done for the G5 yet.

My G5 is is running at 61 degrees celsius while running MorphOS while OS X Runs at 47-50 degrees celsius.
I know its not dangerous temperatures but maybe if i got it down 10 degrees maybe i can save some life on the machine.

A fan control application won't help - MorphOS does control the fans internally, but the extra heat comes from the fact, that we do not support G5 CPU's power saving modes at all under MorphOS. That means they do not enter their low power modes when idle/partially idle.

We only support DFS2 (half cpu speed) on a limited range of PowerBooks.

    Good explanation @jacadcaps Thank you.
Is DFS2 something that might be supported in the future? Not stressing you just wondering.
Power Mac G5 2,0 Ghz registred
    IBook G4 1,2 Ghz registered
Mac mini G4 1,5 Ghz unregistred
Power Mac G5 Quad awaiting support

Worth consideration as I can just imagine how much current is being used to generate all that heat.
