Comics! is the first (and for now) unique CBR/CBZ-jpg/png comic book reader on Amigoid Platforms. It's already avilable for Aros, and I've started a port to morphos; soon I'll start os4 port.
It's totally MUI/ZUNE based, totally amiga, originally written with a notepad and a gcc compiler on aros, now I'm using scribble and gcc. There's no nix/windows/osx libraries, it uses datatypes to open and handle images.
You can navigate through pages with mouse and keyboard and rotate, resize the pages to better view on netbooks.
    I put comics! on wikipedia:
    http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_book_archive
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comic_book_archive
Morphos version is not available for the download, but as mos version gets more bugless i'll make it available.
    Thx!

I'm looking forward. Until now I've to unrar the .cbr-files to read the comics but that won't then be nessacery anymore.

Hi! This day I can say comics! Is usable, but I'd like to Know if there's a better func than BitmapScale to obtain a better quality of the scaled image. I use data type to open my image. Thx

Glad to see this coming to MorphOS, no OS is complete without a Comic viewer.

@vox: thx! but let's wait at least i release an exe! there's always time to donate, enjoy it first! thk you!

    @yasu:
Actually rotate works by menu, but a button it's not a problem.
I have to rewrite some parts in morphos: in aros i controlled nearly everything with some hotspots directly on the canvas: i.e. to go to next page i clicked on the right side of the page (near the border). In morphos this doesn't work, so I think i have to take a little care on this.

This looks realy great. I'm looking forward to it.

I have a suggestion for the Zoom Options. It would be great if there would be the option for "Fit width". I use that option on Linux a lot.

    Thanks

    @jollyjoker:
Hi! There's already an option i called "adapt" in the zoom menu and it (seems to) work. It's not fully tested (I've written it for aros just some days before porting app to morphos) but it tries to adapt to screen resolution to best fit :)
Tonight i'll upload the exe so if there's someone brave enough to betatest we'll go faster!
    Thx!

Here it is. Download it, but: it's beta/alpha sw, so if you want to download it, it's mainly for bug reporting.

I might as well make good use of this P.O.S. Efika while I've still got it.

To begin, I opened "Comics!" and then closed it to see what would happen. It produced these errors:

No information for "ram:t/tempcbr": object not found
    list failed returncode 20
    No file to delete
No information for "ram:t/comic.script": object not found
    list failed returncode 20

    list failed returncode 20
    No file to delete
No information for "ram:t/listzip.script": object not found
    list failed returncode 20

I then tried to load up a CBR and...

...nothing is happening. My Video RAM went up about 2Mb and is staying there. Fast RAM (or what ever we call it these days) is holding where it was. CPU didn't move a pinch.

I'll have to try some more files, but that's what I got thus far. Glad to see that you are working on a MorphOS port, a major relief for me personally as it's one of my favorite OS', now to just get better hardware.

First of all, thanks for this program! Really nice to see this as I'm a comics eater. Well... when life offers me a chance to be it!
Then I tried a CBZ file and it works nice. I only have found these (bug?):
when I change window size and go to another page window switches to previous size.
Fullscreen seems not to work, nothing happens.
I tried "adapt to screen" and it makes program to hang ramping cpu to 100% (it's happened one time).
    Keep up good work, man!

I downloaded and testet your program. It looks nice and I realy would like to use the final version.

    I found the following problems

    - Fullscreen doesn't work
    - When I click on "adapt to screen" the program crashes

I also have recommendations for 2 little but helpful features.
    1. Hotkeys for "Next Page" and "Previous Page": Maybe "CMD + LEFT/RIGHT"

    2. Zoomoption for "fit width": Adapt to screen is nice but in generally it means "adapt height" because the most screens are widescreen. So the result is that the text in the comic is to small to read on some displays. Especially on Notebooks.
