My reply had nothing to do with anything you wrote :-)

I any case, we can wait until Yasu has the chance to try it or someone else has the time and a card.
I will try a Rage128 card sometime this week.
That will at least tell us if a PCI-X expansion slot can even be used (of course some G5s have ordinary PCI slots).

Edit - I just exchanged messages with Johannes and he can't use my Voodo3 card as his G5 has stopped working. So I guess I will first try the Rage128 then the Voodoo3 card.

    Hi,

Finally (well, since I now have a monitor with a VGA input too) I could try a PCI Voodoo3 in combination with a AGP Radeon 9600Pro.

Unfortunately, the system became rather unstable - reproducable freezes and so even when not using the output of the Voodoo.

I was able to start Shogo on the Voodoo though and even play a little bit.
Only tried twice with Wipeout but that one froze rather fast (during the introscreens).

Today, i've put my Voodoo 3 PCI into my G5 and i do also have freezes. I got WipeOut to work and played the first stage, but Heretic II will just crash the system.
Seems like Dual GFX card is not really supported. I think the Voodoo will move into my A4000 then...
