Probably a stupid suggestion, but have you checked to make sure it is not simply a white text on white background problem? Sometimes the simplest solutions get over looked.

Funny you should say that ................ but No.

Just spoke to WeiXing3D by PM, and he's got his system sorted, with my suggestion about the assigns being incomplete, and I've solved my fonts issue with modification of the Type Preferences which must have got some incompatible stuff in it from the 68k code installer, but my Pagestream 4 is working OK now as well.

It's been a weird problem, but glad now that it's solved - for me & WeiXing3D.

I should have mentioned before that there is no visual (reverse video) notification that any text is highlighted (Black block over-white text) when selecting text on Pagestream under MorphOS, which makes it very difficult to know what has been selected, unless you know how Pagestream works, and that the qualifier keys you pressed will have done specifically what you wanted in this regard.

Maybe this is a problem that only I am experiencing but maybe this affects other users, so I'd like to know if it is a problem throughout the user base of Pagestream users using MorphOS, or if it is just something that is only happening on my Mac Mini.

Use a screen with 8 or 16 bit depth - and your problem will be solved......

That does resolve that issue, but at the cost of lowering the true colour 16+ million colours, 24 bit screenmode down to 65,536 colours, high colour, 16 bit, but why should that work and the 24bit screenmodes not allow the reverse-video/selected text block effect to display?

I used to use Pagestream 4 on my Amiga setup with either a Voodoo 3 3000 or Radeon 9200 and they both used 24 bit screenmodes and worked without issue with Pagestream.

That is really weird, or is there something else that should be considered with 68k programs running under Amiga emulation in MorphOS?

I'm not sure with PageStream 3.x, but version 4.1.5.6 does ONLY run on 16 bit screen if you want to to have text displayed. Yes this is annoying but hopefully Deron releases PageStream 5.x asap (MorphOs version of course) which will certainly correct this bug.

I had the same issue with pagestream 3.2.
None of the magazines I made way back when would show the titles.
I installed Pagestream 4 and reopened them and they were perfect.
Apparently some sort of missing font issue.
All I can say is Pagestream 4 works.

Since I do need a DTP and have PS4, does it need any additional fixes
    or works out of box?

No, you need no extra fixes....... only be sure to use the propper screen-depth (look at posts above....)

Posting #15 by rms mentions all measures that you have to undertake in order to run it on MorphOS.
