I don't understand the news either just like Andreas.
Weren't the sources bought already and a continuous effort for native NG versions being made? Wasn't Magellan included in Amikit already fully registered? What's the catch?

At least the installer of the full and registered AmiKit version is in English language.

Yes, and there have even been released preliminary MorphOS-native builds months ago already:

This runs surprisingly well for what it is.

Yes, absolutely.

So what is this news all about then?

I use it on my windows 7 pc ... comes in handy once you get the hang of it. Does have build in FTP what is nice also.

Redrumloa's link is an update package instead of an all in one installer. Maybe that's the difference?

Doesn't seem so to me.

I just tried it and it told me I needed to have Dopus 5.5 or Magellan I installed first.

I have updated the news with the complete archive containing Dopus 5.5

The link here seems to be wrong as of this writing and gives a 404 error.

If anyone is having problems getting the installation to work it expects to install from disk. my workaround was to create the Opus55_Install and Opus55_extras directories on the root of WORK:
assign Opus55_Install WORK:Opus55_Install
assign Opus55_extras WORK:Opus55_extras

Extract the OPus*.lha files into the appropriate directories and then do the install.

And remember to update it to the latest version with these two update packs:

No, as has been established in the beginning of this thread, it's the old m68k-native version which has been made freely available over 1.5 years ago.
