this is an email I sent to bbrv and am wating for a reply:
first off i wanted to ask one last time about contact status with the guy from pixel32?
but on to new news does morphos suport Tck/TK and when will real opengl suport start happening cuz when it does i have a suprise for you......ok i cant wiat have you heard of AC3D? www.ac3d.org i talked with the creator and here is the email message:
    Hi Chris,

I was/am a big Amiga fan - I was with them from the beginning until the
(official) end. I was a registered Amiga developer and AC3D actually
    started life on the Amiga.

If I had a machine, and the port wasn't too difficult (i.e. OpenGL and
Tck/TK exisited), I could do the port.

I'm sorry but I'm unable to let the source code out of the building.

    Andy

so all we need ot do is suply this guy with a comp and he will do it!!!! please email me back. i am sorry if i am anoying i just like to help the smaller lesser known platforms succeed and this is the only way i really know how. by the way now that the peg 2 specs are out how about the peg 3 hehehe ok well email me back.
    -chris

    My Friend PoundSmack,

You have actually hit the million dollar question!

"What does it take to get developer X a board?"

Therein lies the longstanding problem: There are more deserving developers wanting/needing a board that what is available at a _given_ time. All I can say is "keep arguing the case."

MorphOS: It's not what it can do, but what else it can do!

The single best thing you can do is get the author to pay a visit to one of our chat rooms. For some reason, that does a lot more good than any other method (dunno why).

thank you bbrv.....this would be a great piece of software to see on morphos dont ya think? :-) ...and the author of AC3D is an amigian (x-amigain) and is very talented......having him have morphos and be part of the community would be wonderfull (that and he seems like a really nice guy) well cantact me if you want me to get this ball roling with him.....all he needs is a board (if you are still doing the free boards for deserving developers).......

Why dont we just set up a paypal donation link and see how many people put in some cash? Then we can just buy him one. I would thing a G3 verson would be fine for something like this?

    @poundsmack

    Uncle Kronos needs YOU :(o):

How about YOU contact the author of AC3D, and ask if he is willing
to do the port if he gets this board for free (except shipping),
and than YOU arrange things with TheMagicM ?

See, this is what makes the warm and fuzzies. Support your developers and they support you :-)

Targhan - seriously now, is there something we could do to start a 'bounty' program for MorphOS porting? Maybe an escrow account...maybe PayPal is sufficient (can be set up to earn a return on the balance..never done it.)

Ideally need some way to track who wanted what ported and how much they contributed. For sanity's sake we'd also need to 'qualify' the developer..but this could be done through Phoenix?

Alternatively could just compile a vote/list of most wanted port...collect unique IP votes and then award Peg to the highest bidder

Actually...having thought about it...that's probably not the way to go but I love the concept of maybe donating $10 infrequently so that more developers can get a Pegasos.

If I had $399..there's certain programs I'd buy Pegasi G3's for porting and support of.

I know this is (trying to be) a business and the above sounds more like charity...but if this is what it takes to get applications ports started and more Peg's to developers then I'm all for it....

Punch holes in it...blast me for being over generous (ha, $10 ;-) ) I already spent $150 on useless AInc Coupons, so do what you will. :-D
