6400 pixel ought be enough for everyone ;)

Bigger avatars would soon ruin the site layout and are just plain stupid (just like those 100x100 icons found on some coverdiscs in AOS1.3 era).

5720Bytes are more than enough for a picture of that size, and animated avatars turn out to be annoying after a short perios in 100% of known cases.

Oh yes! I could just kill the guy that came up with that roving cockroach animation.
But I too wouldn't mind a slightly larger avatar (about 20% would do it).

I'd say that would be no problem in your case :-P

Funny! I'll admit it, but I stopped using an avatar when the reduce Tyr icon I used was hard to see clearly. I've just been too lazy to look for something else. And I've rotated through so many other avatars on other sites that I've never bothered to start using one here again.

If i rightclick with my windowsmachine a some people's avatar like kronos's one I see it's bigger as the 80x80 pixels ? What I wan't to use is slightly bigger but under 5270 bytes ... can't get it uploaded.

    Yep, guilty as charged ...

Might be cos I've uploaded that avatar 8 years ago and that a change of rules in the meantime didn't work for existing ones.

Or maybe I'm just more equal :-D

Didn't they all disappear at one point? I lost my cat with butterfly painted on it avatar :(

And another thing why don't the smilies previews match the smilies? :-) icon_smile.gif
