    Hi folks,

I've been trying to get my digital camera and USB card reader working
    and am getting the message:
    "Couldn't find/load filesystem for usbscsi.device unit 1 as UMSD"
    for both.

Is there something I have to set up / enable or does it mean my USB
    devices aren't compatible? :-?

    Cheers,
    Robert.

    @ Robert,

Just a guess - as I don't have my cardreader here for checking.

masstorage.device might be looking for L:fat95 as FAT filesystem here
(can't remember whether this is the standard setting).
Is it possible that this one is not installed on your system?

That sounds promising. If so, how do I install it?

    Thanks again,
    Robert.

    Hi Robert,

For starters you can download the Fat95-package from aminet here and install it on your system.

    Good luck,

    Spidey

The installer doesn't seem to work (I have installer working for
everything else) and the read me says something about editing the
installer to make sure it meets my needs!?!?!?!?

    Cheers again,
    Robert.

You only need to copy fat95/l/fat95 in your L: Is in this drawer that AmigaOS/MOS stores file systems and handlers. :-)

P.S. Let us know if your Camera will work with MOS. I'm courious to know even because I have one and I have never tryed. I'm courious also because I am been never lucky with my devices and MorphOS: I have an USB cam and it's not recognized by Poseidon, I have a Logitech USB mouse and is not recognize by Poseidon (or more precise it's recognized but it doesn't work..), I have a joypad that doesn't work with MOS, maybe becuase it has too many buttons for it and at the end I have a Canon i550 printer for wich there is no driver in Mos. =)
..let's don't talk about the TV card that is parked in one of my PCI slot, a Plextor 40x CD-Rom SCSI parked in a 5.25 bay and about my 'famous' Radeon 8500 that has still no 3D (as all Radeons..) and most of all that it's the ONLY one GFX board model supported by MOS that has still no overlay support!! I'm a really lucky guy chooseing boards and peripherals!! :D :D :D

If it has separate memory card (as most digicams do) you could use separate memory card reader, but beware, not every reader is compatible with Poseidon...

Your camera MIGHT be using propietary format for storing pictures (most don't), if it does, you're in trouble...
