    Hello,
Fabio is working now on the binaries for AmigaOS 4 and MorphOS...

I tried to contact Frank Mariak via E-Mail but i have forgotten his email-address : D We talked on the Amiga Event in Essen about AMC.
He told me his Email adress 3 times : D

The email to team MorphOS seems to be recognized as spam...

We would like to send you a test Version asap.

    Best Regards,
    Pascal

You may want to try sending him a PM via MorphZone. As fas as I can see, his latest activity here was 4 days ago. Else, there's an email address on http://www.cybergraphx.de you could try. I don't want to write in public his private email address he uses on the MorphOS ML, but if you wish I can send it to you via PM. Or you can look up the address in a university paper (bottom of page 2) ;-)

[joke]Ah, so now we know who told you that MorphOS would "stop using PowerPC in 2013".[/joke]

(Disclaimer: I'm aware that it wasn't a MorphOS Team member but someone else who claimed to you that the MorphOS Team had told him so.)

Great to see this progressing, I look forward to trying it out.

I'm hoping that my Powermac will replace the PS3 as media centre for me. MorphOS with MPlayer and (hopefully) AMC will have far better codec support, flexibility, mutlitasking, configurability, support for storage devices, etc, etc than Sony's effort.

Thanks to the plug-in support we can also add a UAE-launcher and app-launcher : )
So in theory AMC can act like a gaming system (PS3).

I'm not sure if the Apple Remote is supported by MorphOS, if yes a macmini is a good choice.

I will try to PM him.

    Best Regards,

Also a running games from PS3 would be nice feature of AMC :D Great to see that kind of software developed for MorphOS, well done!

phoenix have you gotten intouch with Frank M yet? The AMC project looks promising. You may want to talk to Guido M as well as he had some interesting concepts for this kind of project.

    "EDIT: @magnetic"

Yes i contacted him and we will send team-morphos a preview asap. I hope that everything will work out of the box. The AmigaOS version of mplayer for example was missing a bit but we got help and the problems have been fixed.

I hope the MorphOS team will like it...

    @poenixkonsole

Just in case you don't know, the AROS version of MPlayer is a quite straight port from the MorphOS version. So, unless some changes were needed for AMC, MPlayer should behave the same under MorphOS.

It's not the '@' that formally makes a posting a reply to a certain previous posting here on MorphZone but rather clicking the right message's 'Reply' button (and generally avoiding the buggy 'Post Reply' button), which you did :-)

I'm eager to see how geit's project has evolved:

"Multimedia applications: Media Center developed by Guido Mersmann"
    http://www.geit.de/eng_powerdev8.html

I assume that there'll be footage from the event.

    Footage is there: http://www.geit.de/eng_geitmeeting24092010.html

Unfortunately, no Media Center news or pictures.

    Oh my god - soooory!
Frank wrote me because we have forgot the build for MOS : D tooo busy
Internal testing is done but we have not made a build for MOS yet.

The only problems which could happen are that Mplayer is missing some stuff.
I know that the AROS mplayer is based on the MorphOS version but regarding AMC it has got some fixes and functions on top. Fab is informed and we will contact him in short, Frank gets a copy of this mail then.

    Sorry again, but whatever;
AMC comes is still planed to be released in November... we are nearly there!

Now i have a question because i would like to try it internally first.
I have a Powermac b&W with a 1Ghz g4 ZIF upgrade and a Radeon 9800 PRo.... will MorphOS work on it? Yeah i could test it - i know ; ) BUT i have to reactivate it and make room... it's now just decoration in my flat..

    Best Regards,
    Pascal

    Ok some small changes:
    noboarder -option was not present
excluded libdvdcss because of legal reasons
break command didn't work with radio-streams which had a looooong playlist... break took many minutes.

    Deadwood can possibly help.

There *is* a no border option since about 6 years: -vo cgx_overlay::NOBORDER (or cgx_wpa if you don't want to use overlay). I wonder why it hasn't been reused in the AROS port. No need to add further options.

Regarding break command, you don't do it that way. Use rexx 'quit' command: ( address MPLAYER.x; 'quit'). Break-c will just break current stream, and play the next one.

    Well noborder is now in...
About arexx: didn't work on AROS so we had to ship around. (problems with Regina library)

    Stay tuned...
    Preview comes asap.
