    Hi,

awnet is mobile already, aorg almost...

I really wish to have anywhere access to morphzone. Smartphones all over is what I'm talking about, I also mean wifi spots everywhere. Also as in my case, I often sit or lie on a couch home, and I wish to browse MOZone with the mobile, especially when I lie in the bed.

    I suggest a donation-based / subscribtion service / bounty. Anyone else interested? :-)
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
    Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

Sounds like a great proposal. I use iPhone a lot and morphzone is currently desktop only so it's slower and the experience is not the best although iPhone has almost a full-fledged Safari.

However, it's a new feature and lots of work (unless the framework they use has "publish to mobile" or someething similar switch which only needs to be customized a bit).

Even better: MorphOS for mobile! Who will contact HTC for a custom design...? :-)

Why HTC? We should roll our own hardware ;-)

Not a bad idea actually. Many mobile manufacturers from China or Taiwan seek for the allies, they know the market is huge. Windows Mobile agreements aren't that attractive as a new platform.

MorphOS might be the chance for a new vendor to enter the market. Most smartphones match and excess Efika's specs btw... Well as long as the device has a PPC in it, the market is unfortunately dominated by ARM and TI.

    I'll do some research btw.

Devices listet in http://www.limepc.com/mobile.shtml still don't exist AFAIK.

You're confused. TI OMAP uses ARM9, ARM11 and ARM Cortex family cores.

He he... Just yesterday, my brother, who is a Windows Mobile junkie (HTC, specifically), showed me his latest model. It's plainly absourd, I have servers in production which have less power than this beast.
Not to mention when he talked about a 129 euro Toshiba digital camera he bought some days ago, just for the sake of this: This minuscle bitch is able to capture high definition MPEG4 video and audio with AVC profile (yes, the one that most PCs struggle to decode let alone encode). Some very serious shit, if you know something about video encoding. Ah, and it does so powered by batteries.

The whole hardware market is sick, don't you think? ;-)
