I submitted an AmiWest report some time ago and two news items have appeared since.

Is there some reason the AmiWest report was rejected?

The publication of news items can take times sometimes.
Also, the subject of your post must be related (more or less) to MorphOS.

I don't know what happened to your report (I don't see it in the news database at least); but the general rule is that news items must be primarily about MorphOS.

So if you reported like 95% about other things and only mention MorphOS in one sentence or so then it most likely got rejected for above mentioned reason.

BTW, is there another place where I could read this report?

    /edit

Checked the links Andreas posted. And it's quite obvious why it was rejected; and I would have rejected that report too.

So why did nobody try to contact me to tell me the news item was rejected and why?

There is nothing to approve. Please try again.

Update: unless the report is altered as suggested we will support the decision already made.

    Best regards,
    R&B :-)

I for one would like to read the Amiwest report ssolie submitted to Morphzone. Please publish it, editors, or tell us why not. Was there "not enough MorphOS" in it? Please say so.

Excuse me, but did you even bother to read the comments in this thread?

tokai is a news editor and he gave you the exact reason why it was not accepted.

Andreas was kind enough to post a link to the article. So, if anybody wants to read it, he can. The original poster is also free to post it in the "General Discussion" forum that is open for discussions with absolutely no or little relation to MorphOS.

It absolutely is. Read the following part of the statement: "The larger goal of Open Video Toaster is to stimulate development of video editing and video production software for MorphOS 2.x"

Also, as mentioned in the comments of the article, $500 were donated and will be paid to anybody porting ToasterCG to MorphOS.

Is it realistic that somebody will take the source code and adapt it to MorphOS? Perhaps not. But it is an honest attempt anyway with no hidden agendas.

Well since they are still listed as a "Gold Sponsor" on the front page of these forums and still have moderator rights on the forum(s), I would guess that they read what is posted here quite regularly.

And you assume it was different from the one he posted on 3 other sites?

    > You don't even know which link or which site, do you?

It's in my posting above: 1 report, 3 links, 3 sites, one link per site. I think ASiegel knows it very well.

    Actually, I am not.

I read the original article that was submitted and I saw the version that was posted on other websites.

Tokai IMPLIES but doesn't really say why it was rejected. And then he also says that he DOESN'T KNOW what happened to it. And then he says "if" the report was such and such then it "most likely" was such and such. So tokai didn't give any exact reason at all.

Tokai wrote: "the general rule is that news items must be primarily about MorphOS.

This is the exact reason why the article was rejected.
