How to mount NTFS USB external HDD?

    Ok, tell me how can I mount my firend's external USB HDD, which is formatted with NTFS? There is existing an NTFS filesystem for MorphOS, isn't it? Is it possible at all?

    the morphos update for poseidon will probably be in next weeks morphos release.

    Like it says; this is just about automounting, you can mount an NTFS partition perfectly fine manually by using Geit's excellent GiggleDisk (on usbscsi.device)!

    CISC : Thank you very much, I have the same needs that GK_LKA and GiggleDisk went out of my memory. I'm jsut going to test it again !

    bringing this one back from the dead...

    giggledisk works great. Mounted a 500GB USB drive without any problems. Now copying all 6000+ MAME roms to my Mac Mini :)

    NTFS (read-only) support (via L:NTFS) is included with the OS distribution (since r2.5).

    No need for giggledisk anymore.

    NTFS volumes should mount automagically just under a vanilla install (at least they do here...)

    Now you can also write on ntfs disks via NTFS3G (I've written it well?)

    Also, if something doesn't mount automatically, Sys:Tools/Mounter can be used.
    And about NTFS, NTFS3g was also ported, which gives write support.

    Thanks for taking the time to reply. You were correct. I tried Mounter and it worked fine. No icon on the desktop. Its mounted read-only. I'll do some research to see what I'm not doing correctly.

    Nothing wrong, the included L:NTFS only gives read-only support.

    To get read/write access (with limitations, see the readme) you would need to install Leif's NTFS3G and filesysbox.
