AmIRC by Oliver Wagner is the classic IRC client against which all others are compared, and it has heavily inspired others as well. However you can't buy the web registration at vapor.com because that service no longer operates there. It's been a long time since AmIRC had active developmenet. However the last version still works fine under MorphOS so why don't we just start a bounty for a public key in the hopes that the copyright holder will release a public keyfile for all?

I haven't used it. But if it is not developed anymore, i don't feel the need for a morphos public keyfile. Getting the source is another thing, or maybe a keyfile for another/new irc client which is actively developed

Isn't Zapek the actual copyright holder? I think he won't give away anything for free anymore...

AmIRC ist very nice indeed, but it's getting older and it's missing some features. I would like to see something new (WookieChat doesn't impress me)

IIRC Zapek controls it now yes. A bounty in this case wold not be the thing to do tbh. Maybe you can get vapor or zapek to allow user reg again...
