It would be nice if this CD could be turned
into an ISO and put for download somewhere like
MorphZone or another place. Especially considering
the Debian that is at the official site is outdated
and has problems on many configurations.

David is doing a great service to the MOS users with this CD. He will be distributing them to people soon, he asks for a small Paypal fee which is way more than reasonable for all his hard work and effort. Thank you

I didn't realize that he was asking
a small fee for the disc. I visited his
website again and it's looking quite nice
and worth the fee to have an updated Linux
    distro. :)

    hi mikey and people,

"David is DJminster? I signed up its ML for infos some week ago, but I received no answer..."

    i do apologise,

For yourself and other people interested here's the info and status:

Im going to call the CD PegXLin (Pegasos unix linux - but if you say it quickly it sounds like peg-excellin) :-)

The status of the actual cd, is finished. But as frostworks has pointed out a few things missing or not working, i wont to rectify them before i release the final CD (im not a microsoft).

Its been fun making this and i have to be bias and say that cd is very useful and makes a great backup medium.

Im expanding the kernel(included) so that people can use 3D etc.

Once people have used it, i would like some feedback and even ask if people could make a icon, window theme for KDE and i in turn incorparate into the next release, really make it a personal CD distrubution for everyone.

Im sticking with debian, mainly because i like the interface and the way it handles required files etc.

Im charging for the my time and effort and the cd.
Im not charging for the content as i have no right to do so.Plus 10% of the money i recieve is donated to the debian foundation.

I do recieve alot of emails asking "when will it be ready?", i've put a countdown on my main page.

Anymore queries please email me or sign my guestbook

    Hi!
You can use for example your original MorphOS
icons (without converting..., only .info has
    to be changed into .png).
Great to look at, and easy to "make"...
On that way it's possible that your Linux
looks almost like your MorphOS ;)

    Have a nice weekend!

    Yes!
David has done an outstanding service for the Pegasos community worldwide! His cd is excellent and the extra modules and gui skin he built into the kernal is fantastic! A small donation via Paypal and he'll send you one. Very professional too!

I'd like to add that on this CD there will be (I hope ;-) ) a kernel
with my ASFS driver. The ASFS driver adds read support for Amiga Smart
File System, so You will be able to read your MorphOS' partitions
under Linux like any other file systems. :-)

The patch with ASFS driver is available here:
    http://www.staszic.waw.pl/~march/asfs/

I hope that in the near future I will be able to buy a Pegasos board. :-)
