Did you try to leave my usergroup.library and put netinfo.device to devs: ? Probably those tools ask the OS for current username and netinfo.device is needed for that crap. I didn't build it yet because i was pretty sure applications can work without it.
    Okay, i'll research the problem.

I'd rather go for a shorter name, like mosnet.

MZNet! Just kidding about that. Due to historical reasons, I would think that Magic#? would be appropriate naming conventions too. In the other thread, we see that there will be a bit more to what eztcp is than just a TCP/IP stack. So, a #?net would be better than #?TCP.

We could call it a city name, as Mr. Kruse was so fond of in his time (Miami, Daytona, etc). How about pulling out our astronomical encyclopedia, and use a name of a moon in the solor system? Ganymede, Titan, etc.

How about just NetStack or something obvious like this.

Every new user (hoho) will know immediately what it is for without reverting to grab the mos dictionary of cryptic and obscure program names.

    Hi, the netinfo.device don't work.
I took the usergroup.library form m68k AmiTCP and it works.

    Error describtion :
When I load the Ambient CVS, all files have no "READ" Flag.

I installed netinfo.device to your groupinfo.lib, but this does not help. OpenSSH still hangs/crashes.

May be "Octopus"? There seem to be no software with this name. And it quite well represents project's nature...
    P. S. Thanks about bug reporting. I'll check out OpenSSH problem. And i think i know what's wrong with the CVS. passwd and group files parser needs to be written, well...

Hello! Sorry for late response, i am involved into a small commecrial project, it's almost finished so i'm back to ezTCP. I tried to launch "ssh" and i experienced not a hangup but i needed to press "Enter" several times before it worked. This happens even when i start it without arguments before it outputs a usage prompt.
Please confirm if you get the same effect or not.

Yes. Pressing Enter 3 times helps and works quite well, but this issue should be resovled, because it's really anoying...

You're right. To tell the truth this happens not only with ssh, but with even GNU make :-?, previously i thought it's only my problem. I already started fixing.

Could you run Snoopium and give a detailed description of what actions are taken after every Enter pressing? This probably could help.

The research makes me to think that it's not usergroup.library's but ixemul.library's bug which is triggered by usergroup.library returning NULL in most calls (due to absent netinfo.device).
Of course this doesn't mean i don't want to fix it. I'll make some workaround.

Please, blame me, it's me who is the sucker... Not ixemul.
I've just removed duplicated getpass() entry from the functions table. It was called instead of umask(). This is the reason for that strange pause. Probably this also caused crashes with netinfo.device.
In v0.15 this will be fixed. Also i'll revert mbuf configuration to previous values, so it should become faster again.
Also i expect to finish dhcp support and netstat tool, netdb support functions are already there. And - go for MiamiPanel.

P.S. I wonder how everything worked at all. I never crashed with my usergroup.library. This is what can be called true automagic

Well, i spent one more evening on this piece of crap... For those who needs inetd, i implemented group and passwd files handling. It is built-in so no netinfo.device is required. New library is waiting for the approval

Alfie has reported that ascan and hserv don't work. I verified that. ascan works but crashes upon exit if more than one process was started. hserv was not tested yet. I think i know the reason of crash, i am trying to fix it right now.
    Please, anyone, confirm this.
