I just upgraded to MorphOS 1.4.5 on my PEG 2 and then added the 3d support. After installing the Hyperion Amiga version of Heretic II the game works well. I had to switch the soundcard to "AHI" but that was all. I'm running at 640x480 resolution right now.

    Hi all,

Copy my old (updated) Heretic II to my Pegasos II, the game freezes.
How to turn on the AHI ? All it does is the startup GUI, where i can't
find the sound options. Maybe i must do a fresh installation again.
Shogo (updated with archive "missing.lha") works smoothly, i wasn't
able to run the game with my Amiga1200 with Picasso96 graphics.
Payback goes very slow, unplayble, seems AHI needed. Quake with Frank
    Wille's MOS port plays smoothly.

Strange... it works very fast on my R9100 .. but it has doublebuffer-problems and the flickering is killing me, and as you mentioned, indeed it needs AHI for maximum pleasure.

I am playing Heretic2 in 1280x1024 and i have on top and
bottom bars that are flickering, and making me and my eyes mad.
How can i get rid of them?

you can edit the config file manually (text format):
search for amisnd.dll and replace it with ahisnd.dll .
Couldn't try it myself as the demo version doesn't support AHI (-> game works fine but no sound then...)

perhaps you should try 1280x960, as it's ratio is 4:3, not 5:4 (like 1280x1024), this should avoid those flickering borders...

    bye, MarK.
