    Hi there,

After leeching the MorhpOS SDL support site, I found out that most of the games won't run on my peggy. The games that won't work are:

    Tuxracer
    Mangoquest
    Armagetron
    Cube
    Glast
    Foobilliard

They all suffer from the same problem: after booting the game, the screen turns gray and the machine hangs. Foobilliard opens a window (gray) and then crashes. Some games from the site work though: Fly, Nuclear chess, Tutris. I thought it might be a TinyGL problem, so I tried the D3GNOP and AlyBox games -> they show a similar gray screen after booting for 1/2 secs and then work fine.

    Suggestions/tips/help?

    ps. I've got a peg1, 256 mb, voodoo3 2000 pci.

So, you released those games just to keep MorphOS developers busy playing them, instead of developing MorphOS 1.5? :-D

    BTW Cube:

Does it have a working network support? I know that it is broken in the source to avoid cheats.

I think it's a good thing, when mos 1.5 is released
you not only have a newer OS but also have many
new games. Hope 1.5 releases soon :-)

This doesn't excuse the fact that it crashes...

    I would have prefered a if !(OpenLibrary("tinygl.library", VER)) {printf("Can't TinyGL.library version xxx\n"); return(0); } than a grey screen+crash...

    Regards,
    Leo.
Nothing hurts a project more than developers not taking the time to let their community know what is going on.

Sure it should be better if they will not crash Pegaos around 8-D
And anyway ... it should be nice to have new tinygl and sdl before Mos 1.5 release ... coz I understand from irc chat that it's not scheduled for the next 2 months!

    @LouiSe:

Maybe you could add a note on these games stating
that they will only work on Mos 1.5. This would not only help with the confusion, but would demonstrate the good work and forward thinking involved in the ports on your site?

Yep - a 1.4.3 release would be very welcome :-) to sweet up the waiting time for 1.5. Could contain quite some stuff. Things which are added/fixed already but do not touch the current 1.4 OS structure.
1.5 will be a huge step with a lot of internal changes but some things like R3D drivers (Radeon!) and/or TinyGL should just work fine with current MOS 1.4

LouiSe, I think that is a good idea notice in sdl page that those ports just work with MOS 1.5 and/or with the new tinygl.library
