So what's the deal about it?
I mean clock speed, price, energy consumption etc.

Yeah, that specs I knew already. But which clockrate will be used, which price will the cpu card have and when will it be available?
That were my questions.

about - and such impressive output for a G3 :)

I too would like to know what sort of price the card
will come at - but this is early days so I wouldn't
expect anything concrete yet ..

What is the situation with regards to G4 CPU cards ?
Are they currently only available with a mobo purchase
or can we get them seperately ?

That's great news :) I've just had a look over the specs
for the 7447A G4 and it looks like it could be a tough
call as to which to get once the 750GX and the 7447A are
both available ...

If the 750GX makes it to 1Ghzish fanless while the 7447A
@ 1.5 Ghz requires a fan I might well end up plumbing for
the 750GX just to keep my system virtually silent.

Of course there is the AltiVec to consider as well...

But I'm sure we'll have plenty of time to mull over this -
I'd bet that MOS 1.5 arrives before any CPU upgrade cards
and that will be enough to keep most people distracted for
a long while :)
