    May I say you have excellent taste when it comes to towers. That simplified case really looks great!

    Hey Matt3,

    I understand fully... I purchased almost all of my gear
    prior to receiving my Peg II G4, In January 04. My Amiga experience
    started with an A3000 as well.

    wife....check.
    kids....check.
    house...check.
    80gig western digital ide hd...check.
    20gig atlas scsi hd...check.
    Vodoo 3000 agp...check.
    Vodoo 5500 agp...check.
    Nexus case...check
    symbios scsi card...check.
    Samsung DVD Rom...check.
    Iview kvm switch...check
    2 to 4 hours a day playing with PegasosII...check

    I haven't been this excited about a computer since 95 when
    I got my faithful A3000. Also haven't spent this much money
    since then.

    Enjoy...I guess their are worse things to suffer from :-)

    Thanks a lot, I appreciate that...

    @TheMagicM
    Thanks...

    @magnetic
    Thanks for the welcome!

    @katos1
    Your not that far from where I live, just south of Buffalo. Perhaps if we find enough users in the area we could have a get together in Rochester or Syracuse. Would be nice to see other peg systems. Your check list is quite similar. Are your hard disk speeds comparable? Do you boot from your SCSI or IDE? Nice that you have a 5500, have you played quake II in 3d with it? If so how fast is it?

    @zephar123
    Mistress... Hmmm... I may choose to use a another term with my Wife, I'll just keep calling it my computer :-)

    @Tcheko
    WAF - I like that! Yea, she is pretty good about stuff like that... Although I probably spend a little to much time with my hobby (computers)...

    @-D-
    Enjoy! Buy the toys now!

    I will take a picture once I get my peg in and together. Thanks for all the encouragement.

    WAF expression came from hifi world. Building big speakers and buying expensive lamp amplificators make wife crazy.

    The ultimate wife have a WAF of 100%. She doesn't exist. :) (Or I never met her).

    @matt3

    -Yes I would love to get together with other upstate (or downstate)
    Peg users.

    -currently I boot from my IDE, as I have just recently aquired
    the scsi setup. I currently have my IDE dvd and HD on the same
    channel to avoid the old lockup bug ( Once i get the update that will
    change.) I added the scsi simply out of personal preference. I will
    have to do a speed comparison.

    -I currently still use the Vodoo3 because the Vodoo 5500 drivers
    are not fully ready, to use the card you must use the Vodoo 4 driver
    and set everything up manually. but since most of what I do is 2D the
    vodoo3 works fine for now.

    -I have played Quake I, and the system performs fine( i'll hav to
    check the fps). I do not own quake II. but, I'll bet QII would
    perform much better on the Vodoo5500

    by the way I have been running my PegII g4 using DNETC 24/6
    since feb 11th, it is a solid piece of hardware, as i have had no
    lockups or other problems. It is only off about 12 hours a week! and
    the only times I reboot is when some errant non/mos compatible app
    hits trance hard. but that is getting less often as I now only use
    stuff I know works. :-)

    later,

    katos1

    strangely enough this is very close to my definition of a perfect man.

    -in excellant shape, lots of stamina, mute except to say something funny or educational, nymphomanic. father can own a pub and is an excellant cook.

    Let's see..

    - in excellant shape .. a couple kg extraweight. I can work it out!
    - lots of stamina .. me
    - mute except to say something funny or educational .. I'm Bill Murray-clone, but if you serve me beer fast enough I can stay silent as long as you want
    - nymphomanic .. me again...
    - father can own a pub .. nope.. unfortunately. I keep fingers crossed though.
    - is an excellant cook .. thats DEFINETELY me

    I'm married to wrong woman,it seems :-)

    Nice case. Looks taller than I am, is that what you have your peg in?

    @katos1
    When I get my PegII, I will see if we can get a group together for this...

    @cdfr
    Currently my Wife has a 98.99% on the WAF. So I don't see the need to send her to school at this time.

    @Everyone else...
    Not sure where you guys (ladies included) are going with this thread. Enjoy...
