Someone at amiga-news.de who said to be RS whispered something about MOS 1.4.2 (well I guess those are only rumours...).

Anyway my guess for MOS 1.5 was and is March...

I hope that MOS developers will add any kind of paula.device emulation or something similar for old amiga utils/games that need a real paula.

Where can we submit bug reports for existing MorphOS? Any Bugzilla kind of thing?

    Hi !

The MorphOS team said many times that there will be NO hardware
emulation in MorphOS. You should use UAE for that kind of job.

    Bye

If MorphOS 1.5 still won't be here for some time, a "MOS 1.4.2" would be very welcome IMO, with bugfixes and small updates in the meantime. Perhaps in conjunction to the next Pegasos II production run? And make a new BIOS image public from b-plan to go with that, and not only for the new Pegasos II owners, but for the current ones aswell!

    :-)

Speaking about downloads, the last firmware update was made available from b-plan's homepage directly. But where is the "download/support" menu on pegasosppc.com? Isn't that where things are "supposed" to be?

Some explanation text is needed on that page IMO. What is this the MorphOS BT2 link on top? Is it connected to the Beta2 mailinglist, or is it connected to the FTP? Or is the username and password unique to this "service"?

Paula is like custom chip support. It's like demanding AGA programs to run on a radeon, which is a hell to accomplish.

The problem is with Paula is the same: most programs bang the hardware directly. In most cases, even if they use OS routines, they only use them to access paula, then hit the HW again. Those programs were not made with future in mind.

The ultimate question is the balance between compatibility and having an unrestricted modern OS. The line is drawn, we have 68K emulation, but no custom chip or audio hardware emulation on a fix address.

I have bought Payback myself, and I'm as well annoyed by direct Paula hitting in the program, but I see it as a flaw of Payback, not MorphOS.

The name for the bugtracker, became as it is when we started it after some discussions in PUGS on www.pegasos.org now also www.pegasosworld.se.

It's important to know that the bugtracker is not an official bugtracker from the MorphOS developer-team, but instead an unofficial bugtracker started by Pegasos-users on pegasos.org. There is many Pegasos and MorphOS-users around that feel they want to contribute to MorphOS in different ways, and this bugtracker is just one way in doing it.

Therefore I now here put the question open, to give the bugtracker a decent name :-)

Maybe we should start a special thread only for that - Name the bugtracker !

The bugtracker in itself have different levels, reporters, contributers ... etc.

We also did discuss that users who would like to, could have the status contributors, and in that way being able to test bugs reported and then also write comments in the bugtracker.

The aim with the whole thing, from PUGS and pegasos.org, is to try find good ways into report and bring possible bugs forward to the MorphOS core developer-team, without to much hassle and emails floating around everywhere.

There is also people in PUGS that do test bugs reported, and see if they can reproduce them in their systems.

And anyone who would like to contribute or have ideas are very welcome.

Can you please tell me if it works for you to log in or not, considering my notes above ?

I have tried from some different computers, and with different browsers, and it works good every time.

After deleting all the cookies in my computer, it worked perfectly.

Are there only 4 bugs discovered?

    Leon:

Great to hear it works, it should :-)

Yes, so far four bugs reported. Maybe there isn't so many bugs in MorphOS ;-)

Anyway, there is also 25 members subscribed to the bugtracker so far, and people should perhaps start report if they feel they find something.
