Well, Kronos wrote that he actually tested it on his setup.

Then yours is obviously one of those 256 MiB cards that are fully recognized by MorphOS (linear 256 MiB aperture despite two banks), and not one of those 256 MiB cards that are seen as 128 MiB card (two 128 MiB apertures), which is what Kronos referred to.

And are there any R200 card, with memory 256 MB visible on MorphOS? Like 9250, 9200 ( Pro ) ...
Please, if anybody has it and tested, share it here exact type.

If we want to use it with Efika, is better that cards has power less than 25 W ( Efika has PCI under AGP ). 9800 XT is too powerful for Efika and need powered PCI-AGP adapter.

    1. Recurring meetings in Iris.
    2. Good native spreadsheet be released.
    3. Some MODs added to Q2.
    4. Update for PageStream to fix small issues.

Existence of R200 cards with linear 256 MiB aperture was confirmed no later than 2010 (#3, 2nd link therein (#65)).

MorphOS 3.0 release notes from 2012 read:
"Enabled full 256MB on cards offering a 256MB aperture."

As this note mentions no restriction to any Radeon GPU generation, there's no reason to assume it not being valid for R200 as well. So in conclusion, since MorphOS 3.0 there're R200 cards with 256 MiB VRAM usable on MorphOS.

That will be MorphOS 4.0 with one zero, not two. Revisions also start from one character and then go to two when one character is not enough anymore (3.9 -> 3.10). Hopefully finally this year MorphOS 4.0 will come out.

I have been following the forum for quite some time and I just got myself a MorphOS license for my Mac Mini G4 a few days ago as I intend to brush up my coding skills using this setup. What kind of new software are you looking for? Perhaps you can give some ideas.

Welcome new MorphOS user! I hope you are enjoying our platform. I have some ideas for you: What would be very good is a macro recorder like MachV on Aminet (https://aminet.net/package/util/mouse/MachV_37.9) but with MUI and much better/comfortable to handle.

Or a graphics program like Candy Factory Pro (https://aminet.net/package/gfx/edit/CandyProDemo).

    A music program like Symphonie Pro: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tNizdyx-DE , https://aminet.net/package/mus/edit/symEDIT, https://aminet.net/package/mus/edit/SymphDEMO, https://aminet.net/package/mus/edit/Symphonie.

There was a media center announced many years ago but it was never published. Maybe you are are interested to make one. Like OSMC or Kodi.

    And about my 2025 expectations:

    -- MorphOS:
.support for CD/DVD connected via USB ( CDDA, ATAPI, boot*.img support for CD filesystem )

I used that many years ago. It was working. I can read and write CD/DVD on it. Is it not working for you?

.not swap to X86_64, if new architecture is really needed take ARM, RISC-V or something other non-mainstream. For me MorphOS is hobby, not linux/windows alternative

I want to use it for as many things that I can. RISC-V is to oexotic, I think. ARM is too various. PowerPC is expensive but how often do I buy a new computer? I would buy a new one for 3000 EUR or so if it is much faster than X5000 and can use the many cores and RAM.

    .X1000, A1222 support ( yes I read morphosdev comments about P1022 CPU ) ;-)

Please not, the X1000 is not sold anymore and the A1222 is so expensive. Then better save money for a X5000.

Does Iris have a calender? At least it shows me the calender icon when a mail has a .ics attached.

Yes please. Fixed bugs with the fonts not loading from the defined paths would be nice because it is quite annoying to replace every font by hand with the requester. Easier toolbars to replace or add image in PNG format like in regular MorphOS programs they are simply images with clear names (the PageStream toolbar format is very weird, I wanted to replace the images but gave up). SVG support would be nice (export/import). And a bit speedier UI if possible. Even on PowerBook 1.67GHz it is sluggy when I scroll around the display area or edit pages. Even if the document has very few design elements.

The reported issue is mainly about reading CDDA tracks and ejecting the disc. It was confirmed by others some years ago. If you don't encounter this problem, then some investigation as to what's different with your setup could be insightful.

Not yet, at least. It can display invites, create them and reply to those, though.
