    Solved:
The hard drive is going bad. I noticed that after copying new MP3s over, the computer locked up when trying to load them up. After putting in a different hard drive and a new OS install, now the archive of ScummVM extracts just fine from scummvm.org.

    Hope it helps someone else.

    ---------------
I downloaded ScummVM from the website which was about a 400+ MB file. It will start to extract but always fails near the end. I did give Voodoo X a try and that will lock up near the end as well. Without having extract it on a PC then copying it over on the network, are bigger archives prone to not extracting correctly?

I tried the archive of ScummVM 2.7 over at MorphOS Storage and that one worked great. Not sure what might of made the one over at scummvm.org not extract properly.

Thanks for the reply. Thank you so much for the ports. I did try 2.7 just now and for some reason Maniac Mansion on the NES the walk speed is much slower than on version 1.7. I will try a few versions back to be sure it isnt a recent thing. Been having fun settings things up once again on MorphOS.

For now, your version 2.2 works great with Maniac Mansion on the NES and the walk speed is correct. Downloading 2.5 to see if it is ok or if the change within ScummVM itself is the issue.

If ScummVM cause, you can open ticket on scummvm support.
    Thanks

Tried it just now on the PC, and yep.... The slow walking is still there. I haven't submitted a bug report in many years to ScummVM but I will have to try it again.

For now I only tried the NES version of Maniac Mansion, but may need to give the others a try to be sure.

The iSight G5 would be neat to have. Less desktop space taken vs a G5 tower. I will keep an eye out on local listings for either. I did have a Quad G5 but traded it a few years ago.
