Need help finding valid working ASD for G5 (Early 2005)!

    I had a burned CD of it, but seem to have lost it :-( The images are getting hard to find online, or a working one at least. I have a PCI-X 2.7Ghz G5 (Early 2005). It is my understand that only ASD 2.5.7 or 2.5.8 will work on my machine. The 3 sites online I found with images are not working on my machine. Even holding Left-Option, the CD is not identified. MorphOS 3.13 disc autoboot no problem. The drive is working otherwise.

    Anyone know of a known, tested, valid download of ASD 2.5.7 or 2.5.8? Preferably in ISO and not DMG/Toast? Maybe PowerISO is failing me?

    Either way, assistance would be appropriated. I'm a little frustrated atm.

    I've downloaded all AHT discs years ago directly from Apple. I cannot identify your number in my list.

    Btw it's possible to boot those via USB, from the OF commmandline (it won't show up in the alt-key bootmenu).

    I'm starting to worry there is something with my hardware. This is the computer G5 that I had the power supply fail a week or so back. After i replaced the psu, the DVD drive didn't recognize many discs at all. After I replaced the IDE cable it seemed to work with everything I throw at it. Everything that is except a ASD disc. i just downloaded and burned the one Amigaharry2 linked to above. I burned it in PowerISO, still no go. I also downloaded "Anyburn" for Windows in case PowerISO was buggered, no lock. Won't boot from it, won't boot from it holding C key, doesn't see it holding left-option, and not seen by MorphOS. I've tried 2 different DVD drives.

    Is IDE shot on my MB? Am I missing something? MorphOS CD immediately recognizes and boots from CD with no key holding.

    You can still use the original OS install disc and boot the AHT from that one.

    Thanks for the suggestions. I don't have an OSX install. I guess I should dig up and OSX disc.

    ASD-Images are in .dmg-format. You have to burn it from OSX or a similar prog which can handle dmg-files.
    The burned DVD has 2 different tracks: one to be readable directly under OSX (or any other OS) with documentation, and as second track which is only bootable from Firmware (you need only to insert it and boot) and starts up the diagnostic software.
    There are no iso-files of ASD-Images (afaik).
    Peg2, 3xPowerMac G5, 2xPowerbookG4, 2x MacMiniG4, Efika (again), A3000T and life is never boring.....
