I installed it yesterday. Looks very nice, I'll tweak it a little bit though.

But first, Ambient window buttons (Parent, Delete, Icon info...) don't work anymore, while right mouse and keyboard shortcuts do.

    Anyone else has this behavior?

Edit: Also I cannnot snapshot an Ambient window.

I also like the look, but I think I will wait before installing it, as I don't want the bugs you are experiencing, so I'll wait until they can be squashed first.

Did a testinstallation on EFIKA: No such problems there!
Maybe you should redefine buttons in Preferences/Ambient/Window......

Tried that but didn't work. I have reverted to my previous theme using the provided script and all normal again.

I'll try again in a couple of days.

    Hi emeck,

I investigated your Ambient window toolbar issue and discovered that it happens when "iconzoomslider = true" in "SYS:Prefs/Ambient/Advanced.conf" file while starting to browse from desktop icon (it works from double clicked way from desktop)
Add a ; before this line and save / reboot to make toolbar items alive :)

About snapshot disk issue, it might be because of SVG icon that MorphOS totally doesn't support yet !?

Thanks Highlander, commenting that line in Advanced.conf worked for toolbar buttons.

And changing SVG icons back to PNG ones solves the problem with snapshots.

I'll post any other problem I have. Thank you!

Missing snapshot functionality of SVG icons is indeed a bug in current MorphOS release.

Until the next OS update is released, the affected icons could temporarily be converted to 256x256 PNG icons.

Visually, there won't be a difference and the increased icon sizes should not matter too much.

I have problems with vertical sliders, they appear black with pink stripes.

Let me explain the issue in MorphOS (and how it can possibly be worked around).

SVG icons are XML files. When the SVG support was added Ambient (the MorphOS Desktop) only accepted SVG files that begin with a XML tag:

    Code:
    <?xml

However, it was later found out that many valid SVG files begin with:

    Code:
    <svg

    or even a comment:

    Code:
    <!--

Ambient was adjusted accordingly. However due to an oversight from my part the code handling snapshotting wasn't adjusted accordingly, and can only identify files beginning with "<?xml".

This will be updated to the next MorphOS release. Meanwhile a workaround is to convert any problematic SVG file to a one that begins with the "<?xml" tag. This can be done by hand, or a tool could be written to perform the conversion.

Converting to PNG works as well, of course!

This issue is related in the readme.txt/PDF files as "MorphOS issues to fix" (that I should report one by one):
[1] Fix trashed image for 90° rotated background image in sliders (seen in volume screenbar)

That explains why I could be able to snapshot mine before cleaning all *.info "SVG" files for this 1.3 release! (earning a few kilobytes)
Glad to hear it will be fixed for next MorphOS release :)

It only happens if the window is opened in Icon-Mode (with activated IconZoomSlider).

If you switch to list-mode then back to icon-mode the toolbar buttons are working again.
No need to deactivate the IconZoomSlider.

The bug is fixed now, btw.
