I need good icon editor with full Newicons support. Is there a one working smoothly on MorphOS? I have tried Iconian, but it's unuseable under MOS.

I miss draggable screens... and do you? I know I'm in a minority unfortunately.

What I usually do, is find a suitable PNG image, with transparency/alpha channel, from somewhere/anywhere online for what I want an icon for, and then it only needs to be resized via ShowGirls and saved as whatever name you want it to have, and with the suffix .info and there you have your new icon for MorphOS. 8-D

There isn't really any dedicated icon editor for MorphOS, though you can obviously use any of the support image editors and then save the image as I mentioned above. I complained about the lack of an icon editor when I first started using MorphOS, but now I am happy with the easy way my method works.

There are lots of icons already available, either in the Chrysalis pack, or elsewhere online such as Aminet or in the MorphOS Storage files, and probably lots more places besides those I've mentioned.

Anyhow, that's how I do it, and it works well for me, but others may use a different/alternative method of creating/saving icons for MorphOS.

    NewIcons isn't "new icons".

It's not really an icon editor, but (if my memory serves me well) Personal Paint supports newicons (editing and saving).

edit: yes, ppaint can edit newicons.
    you also need this: http://aminet.net/package/gfx/ppaint/pio_icon

edit2: I just tried it, but unfortunately it doesn't work with morphos.

Right. I don't like PNG icons at all. It's about NewIcons standard which features two-state images and is backward compatible -> can contain old 4-colour icons - two state as well.

    @ Mozzerfan
    Yes, it doesn't work properly.
I use http://aminet.net/package/gfx/ppaint/pp2ni Arexx script for PPAint, but it requires an already existing icon to save the work. And probably the icon created this way woun't show on AmigaOS3.x without NewIcons installed.
