    Hello folks.
Do anybody know if the Logic Boards of DP 7,3 PowerMac are similar or are there any differences between a 2,7DP and a 2,3DP Logic Board?

Yes, there appear to be difference.
As far as I know, the only board that is interchangeable with the 2.7 is the 2.5.

Are you sure? Where do you have this information from?
I thought that all 7,3 DP Mac Logic Boards are equal.

After further examination, it seems like the 2.3 might be the same.
Obviously the 2.0 is completely different, but unless Apple went to the problem of varying the higher boards for different bus speeds the should be interchangeable.

If I still had components for these, I'd offer them to you to experiment, but I sold of most of my G5 hardware.

    Sorry for the confusion.

Ok i bought a PMG5 with DP 2,7 Ghz, i replaced the broken logic board.
The Mac works, but the Fans runnig all the time at full speed.
I read here a Thread on MorphZone about replacing the Logic Board and use a Software from Apple to adjust the Board to the CPU. But i can`t find it anymore. Need some help. What is this Software, where can i get it?
