What parts will make the license no longer valid?

If I have to replace parts to repair my Powerbook, what parts, if replaced, will make the license key invalid? I'm assuming that most parts wouldn't be any problem to replace but there has to be some that aren't. I understand that on some machines (efika?) it's the MAC address that the license is linked to but I'm not sure if that's the case for PowerBooks. If it is, would it be a problem to replace the Airport?

License is linked to a NIC Eth MAC address, in general to make morphos.key not working you have to replace the mainboard. You can replace everything else w/o problems.

The license is generally always tied to the motherboard. All replacable parts may be changed without any risk.

That's not been my experience as I bought a MacMini 1.5GHz that didn't have a modem built-in/fitted - I registered it like that - no modem.

Then when I fitted the correct modem it invalidated the key at the point when I next updated MorphOS and cyfm (AKA Frank Mariak) had to re-issue me with a new key/licence. Even cyfm was surprised that it had neutralised/invalidated the key, but it had.
    MacMini 1.5GHz,64MB VRAM, PowerBooks A1138/9 (Model 5,8/9),PowerMac G5 2.3GHz(DP), iMac A1145 2.1GHz 20", all with MorphOS v3.18+,Airport,Bluetooth,A1016 Keyboard,T-RB22 Mouse,DVD-RW-DL,MiniMax,Firewire/USB2 & MacOSX 10.4/5

Rest assured we will always re-generate the keyfile should something like that happen.

And this is why I asked :) I'm confused, it seems like some members might be confused. Is there an official answer or a link to one?

Thanks. Sorry, on the mobile version you don't see post count or title or anything else, just username so I didn't realize that he was official.
