Lately I was engaged in Linux testing and bug reporting on Apple G4 & G5 machines for some time. Almost all of the time extra tweaking is needed to get graphics working, sound working, get the correct keyboard layout, get WLAN working. It's no big deal once you got used to it, but it's rather complicated at the beginning. Also 2D/3D graphics acceleration is a mess. Most of the time you need extra config to turn GPU acceleration off since it causes GPU freezes. Only my PowerBook G4 5,8 and PowerMac G5 11,2 (which is unfortunately not supported on MorphOS for the time being) run out of the box with 2D acceleration working.

More than ever I am impressed of how flawless the MorphOS support is on the same hardware! Big kudos to the devs! Even my 9pin-to-USB joystick adapter worked out of the box to play Amiga Racer. ;-)
