Certainly would be interesting if true, to see what was being produced. I'd be leery though and not an early buyer if I had a big box Amiga. Those last DCE made boards were pretty sketchy IIRC.

This Phase 5 is a UG (kind of a Ltd.), a bit more info:
    https://www.moneyhouse.de/phase-5-digital-products-UG-haftungsbeschraenkt-Bad-Vilbel

A person named Fernandez Gomez is CEO. And - attention - the same person is CEO of a company called Amiga Technologies UG and Commodore Büromaschinen UG and Concorde Media UG
Obviously soemone is collecting big names.

I think caution should be paid.

    Hmm:

    phase 5 digital products UG
    Weißdornweg 10
    61118 Bad Vilbel
    http://www.unternehmen24.info/Firmeninformationen/DE/4210302
Stammkapital: 100,00 EUR (nominal share capital)
Geschäftsführer: Fernandez Gomez, Salvador, Bad Vilbel

    Amiga Technologies UG
    Weißdornweg 10
    61118 Bad Vilbel
    http://www.unternehmen24.info/Firmeninformationen/DE/4211203
    Stammkapital: 100,00 EUR.
Geschäftsführer: Fernandez Gomez, Salvador, Bad Vilbel

    Commodore Büromaschinen UG
    Weißdornweg 10
    61118 Bad Vilbel
    http://www.unternehmen24.info/Firmeninformationen/DE/4210906
    Stammkapital: 100,00 EUR.
Geschäftsführer: Fernandez Gomez, Salvador, Bad Vilbel

300 EUR for three companies, not really expensive.

And looking at that address with google maps does not really show a high tech office (not that you would need one to produce good products).

    Googling Mr. Gomez reveals also:

    FWD Fernsehwerbung Deutschland GmbH
    http://www.unternehmen24.info/Firmeninformationen/DE/3905806
    might be insolvent

and as it seems the successor to FWD
    Concorde Media UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
    Stammkapital: 100,00 EUR.
Geschäftsführer: Fernandez Gomez, Salvador, Bad Vilbel

The location would be okay for original P5/bplan.
The picture of the office in facebook looks like a basement room of a normal residentual house.

Wasn't he at Neuss last year trying to sell P5 prototypes for insane prices?

Ok, if he had something to do with Phase 5 or DCE, then somebody we are familiar with ought to be familiar with him.
The mistake would be in assuming this company has any real relationship to the original.

    I don't bother these days with BPlan I just stick to . . .

The first plan, that being the 'A' Plan - otherwise known as the Avoid Plan - Avoid this new and dubious 'Phase5' like the plague, until proven otherwise. ;-)

Oh well. :) Figured I better chime in so I don't upset some over at AW.net .

All it takes is a single click over at the Commodore Amiga Facebook page to find out what goes on. Rumors or not, don't take things so serious when you read them. ;)

Wait, I thought you were a figment of my imagination? LOL @ some people in the Kommunity...

Amazing how some people cannot discuss or speculate without immediately getting butthurt.

Or everyone who lost money on a Cyberstorm G3 16 years ago could get together and form a class action to get the money out of him. After all, buy Phase5's name, buy its debts.

Its a new company named Phase 5, or don't you get that? They don't owe any debts from the previous companies. And if they have anything related to the old intellectual property, I doubt anyone could lay claim to those rights after this much time.

    Again, get over the butthurt.

Phase 5 was dissolved ages ago, so he probably didn't even have to buy the name. And even if he did, this would have nothing to do with debts of the former and unrelated (bar the name and the fact that the founder/owner/CEO was an employee) company.

Oh, I had not considered the rom on the hardware.
Yep, that would be a problem.

Good point, won't work without that.

    New "announcement":

"The Cyberstorm PPC 3 Professional Series DDR4 comes with a 68060/? MHz + ? PPC multicore CPU including the DDR4 RAM interface and some more enhancements with a pricing of 2.980,- Euro inluding 19% of German Taxes (2.504,- Euro net price) We did not mention the exact PPC CPU for different reasons, but will reveal detailed information on it in a further Press Release."

Except POWER9, which is out of the question here, the only multi-core PPC CPU with DDR4 memory controller I know is the QorIQ T1.

I've just been reading comments by this new Phase 5 claimant on Facebook.

It's akin to reading comments from a 12yr old, not a professionally run business that is trying to seek customers.

So many insane nutjobs in the Amiga scene it's unreal.
