Strange. When I try to play some tunes from HVSC, Ben Daglish to be specific or another, it doesnt play.. says playing but nothing coming out.

I'm assuming I just click load, requester pops up, change file type to *.sid and load it. If so, maybe I'm doing something wrong?

EDIT: I tried Sid4Amiga off of Aminet, works well.

Well, GoatTracker does not contain a 6510 emulation, so it can only play GoatTracker songs.
Like changing file type to *.png if you have a jpeg...

I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for information.

SID4Amiga indeed can play some older SID files.

A good Warp program, I'm just missing an oscilloscope display.

How about a reggae plugin for SID files?
So there wouldn't be a need for an extra program to play such files.

One problem is, SID files are quite different from many other "traditional" music files.

Firstly, they're basically executable programs, so seeking isn't as easy as with f.ex. mp3.
Secondly, single file often has several subtunes.
Thirdly, songs don't usually have any real "ending", which might also be a minor issue for some players.
Fourthly, HVSC comes with stil.txt with lots of extra information about many sid files, and it's really nice, if this is somehow easily available wia the player. It also has pre-set song durations.

So while one could probably do a Reggae plugin, a dedicated player would probably work much better.

Also license would be an issue with AmiNetRadio (probably the reason why such plugin hasn't been published before), but since Reggae is an OS component, I think there's some special rule for that.

I agree, we already have digibooster3.demuxer but Multiview's interface is limited to play & stop :-(

And fifthly, they aren't even files, they're binary memory images. I'd love to see the binary recognition code on that one.

Don't worry, they often have a PSID header.
